Publisher's Summary

"Ross Hardy had made his decision. He sat in the middle of all he owned, a splendid Appaloosa gelding, a fine California saddle, a .44 Winchester rifle, and two walnut-stocked Colt .44 pistols. These were his all. It was a life that had left him rich in experience, but poor in goods of the world. The experience was the hard-fisted experience of cold winters, dry ranges, and the dusty bitterness of cattle drives. He had fought Comanches and rustlers, hunted buffalo and horse thieves. Now he was going to ride for himself, to fight for himself." (From the book)

Another Great Story by Louis L'Amour

The Rider of the Ruby Hills is another tribute to the great story-teller. The suspense keeps your attention all the way through. Not your usual range war. I don't want to give anything away, but if you like Louis L'Amour I know you'll like this one.

Formula Western

So satisfying to hear Jim Gough read these Classic Western romance adventures. The good guy wins, the bad guys get their just deserts and the music plays you out. Sigh. A beautiful respite from our crazy world.

Classic Louis L’amour

This book talks about characters from the old west. Planning and guts helps each one survive and thrive. The evil ones eventually get their just reward. The hero rides my favorite breed of horse the amazing Appaloosa.

A wonderful Louis L'Amour story expertly told.

A fast paced story of food conquering evik during the settling of the old American southwest.

This was another fun western “fix.” Louis Lamour paints an immersive picture of the west and Jim Gough is the perfect narrator.

Jim Gough … Just the Best Western Reader!

I truly enjoyed this short, action-packed story. Many of L’Amour’s old books tend to follow the same formula. But, this one was a little different. As always, Jim Gough brought it all to life! How I love that old deep, gravelly voice.
