Love the story and the reader does such a fantastic job- this is my favorite of all of his books!

Another good story by Louis L'amour

If your look for western where the author understands the times and the people Louis L'amour is it. He's not only an amazing story teller but he also studied and learned how the people where back then. He also studied the land and how it made the people in it. You can't go wrong with any book by Louis L'amour.

Richard Crenna is great! Wish Audible could get the versions of L'amour's "Hartman's Castle/Trap of Gold" also narrated by Crenna.

cool story exciting characters and the lamour story of gunfights and the old West with a little romance.

Goes real fast, pay attention, Crena did a good job. I like the background music and reality noises.

The story was not dramatized which is very disappointing it’s an interesting story but it said it was dramatized

Not one of his best. I listen to many of his, and love them all. This one has many, many characters, and a subtle story line -- a little tough to follow.
