Publisher's Summary

Fortune-amassing principles proven for 6,000 years!

Have you ever wondered if there exists a set of guiding principles that teach how best to lead your life? To protect and grow your money? To one day live in prosperity and peace of mind? And if you follow those principles to the letter, you cannot fail. You are destined for greatness.…

It truly does exist. And in fact has existed for 6,000 years - originating in ancient Babylon. George S. Clason's classic instruction for prosperity was an inspirational book titled The Richest Man in Babylon. Almost magically, this tale offered an understanding of - and a solution to - personal financial problems, no matter who encountered its prose.

Today, it's our privilege to combine the awesome insights of this classic with the power of audio. For the first time, George S. Clason's timeless classic tale of Babylon is brought to life as an audio download: The Richest Man in Babylon…In Action audio program!

During your journey through Babylon, you'll meet the extraordinarily wealthy as well as the poor and destitute - all teaching you about your own life, every step of the way:

  • Arkad, the richest man in Babylon, first teaches you the "Seven Cures for a Lean Purse": the seven timeless truths to amassing a great fortune
  • You'll discover how the Goddess of Good Luck will frequent your life
  • Arkad reveals the Five Laws of Gold, as he states, "Gold is reserved for those who know its laws and abide by them."
  • Then, once you have the tools to find new prosperity, you'll learn how best to protect it
  • Last, you'll meet the Luckiest Man in Babylon and learn how he "made his own luck"

Starting to learn about money

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I think everyone needs to be educated on money.

What did you like best about this story?

I was a story instead of a dry book about money. Money is my weak place because I hate working with numbers, but you have to start somewhere.

Which scene was your favorite?

Then the character made a decision to start where they were and pick up the pieces of their financial situation. Hit home.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I don't think I did.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed the recap after each chapter and putting it in modern terms. The names in this book are hard to remember.

Would be nice if there was an accompanying PDF

It would have been great if there was a summary PDF, which lists the main rules / laws.

Listened to this SOOO many times!

Love this book! The lessons within are timeless and do work! I’ve listened to it I don’t know how many times, trying to embed the lessons into my thick skull. I can’t recommend this enough. It was a hard listen due to the olde language they use but you get used to it. Once you are, the lessons are epic! Listen and re-listen again and again!

Most useful Audible version of the book

The book is well reviewed here and elsewhere. Which just leaves me to say that what makes this version the best is the publisher's intermittent and frequent content summaries alongside suggestions and instructions that will further your cause.
Well worth getting.

Sound advice but a bit tedious to listen

The book itself is obviously a classic. The interpretation of the age-old wisdom and the application in the modern world is nicely done. However, the language used in most of the book to describe the real conversations/events in Babylon may not interest thou. Thou might switch off and lose track.

Highly Recommended!

This is my first audio book from nightingale and I must say, I am very impressed with the quality of the narration and the structured approach to the learning system they have presented here, overall make for a fantastic quality audio book. i have read the richest man in babylon too many times to remember, this presentation by far in my honest opinion is the best educational presentation of the work I have seen.

Very happy with my purchase of high quality educational material at dirt cheap prices !
