Publisher's summary

A glamorous prep school girl goes missing after a love affair with a teacher in this irresistible thriller from France's number one best-selling novelist.

Twenty-five years ago, on a campus paralyzed by a snowstorm, beautiful 19-year-old Vinca Rockwell ran away with her philosophy teacher after they began a secret affair. For Vinca, "love is everything or nothing".

She is never seen again.

The once inseparable Manon, Thomas and Maxime - Vinca's best friends - have not spoken since graduation. Twenty-five years earlier, under terrible circumstances, the three of them committed a murder and buried the body in the gymnasium wall, the same wall that is about to be demolished to make way for an ultramodern new building.

Now, the three friends are about to meet again at their reunion. Will decades of lies unravel to reveal what really happened on that deadly winter night?

Taut, suspenseful, and addictive, The Reunion will grip you until its haunting final tick.

Critic reviews

"The French call it a coup de foudre: a strike of lightning. That's how The Reunion zapped me, electrified me. For almost a decade, Guillaume Musso has reigned supreme as France's most popular author, and with this, his American debut, he's instantly poised to join the ranks of Stieg Larsson and Jo Nesbo. The Reunion zigzags so nimbly - between past and present, from intrigue to terror, amid possible suspects and potential victims - that you're at very real risk of whiplash. Witty, elegant, and peopled with complex characters, it's one of the most sheerly suspenseful novels I've read in years - and among the most enjoyable, too."(A.J. Finn, best-selling author of The Woman in the Window)

"This immensely satisfying thriller about a prep school scandal and three friends' buried secrets had me turning the pages well into the night. The Reunion has everything a masterful thriller should: gut-wrenching suspense, a twisting story with blindsiding surprises, and a narrator with a mysterious past. It's no wonder that Guillaume Musso is one of France's most loved, bestselling authors." (Harlan Coben)

So much better than I expected

I avoided this book as there have been several mediocre reunion formula books in the last few years. As it was on sale and I needed a second selection I purchased it and then put off reading it for awhile. Silly me!!! This is a truly clever mystery. No way to describe it without spoilers, so lets just say that you will thoroughly enjoy the twists and turns, and think about the ending when ever you see the word reunions

Very good

Very well plotted. Every time I thought I knew where the story was going I was surprised where the author went.

Always a roll of the dice...

It seems that mystery thrillers these days are hit and miss and in my experience more miss than hit here lately so investing time in one is always rolling the dice. With this book i was pleasently surprised. It was very introspective and artsy which sometimes can be too much and authors get too up their own ass about it but Musso finds a nice balance in this book and grounds it with a good story and fleshed out characters. I really enjoyed the listen and it helped make my work day fly by. Was hesitant at first to go above 4 stars to 5 since it wasnt super special in that i enjoyed it and liked it alot, but wouldnt write home about it but i dont feel right not giving it full props seeing as if a book has overall 4 stars on audible it means it sucks usually so i wana help differentiate this book from all the dregs because it def deserves at least that. Give it a listen and you wont be disappointed 👍

Wonderful read

This was a beautifully written and intriguing book. The author did a wonderful job introducing the voices of the different characters. The narration was also enjoyable. I highly recommend The Reunion!

Excellent!

I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end. I get distracted easily, so I often find my mind wandering while listening to books, but this one kept my attention all the way through. I loved the characters, the setting, the twists and turns that I never saw coming. I rarely give 5 stars, but I felt that this one deserved it!

Great Mystery

I enjoyed how this story was different from others under this theme. The plot was well conveyed and character development was excellent. There were quite a few players but it was easy to keep track as a result. Although I think there was supposed to be a building up of angst, I never really got that but looked forward to more clues and info. Nice twists one after the other near and to the end!

Narration by all was outstanding!!

Don't waste your credir

I found this particularly difficult to get into, particularly the narration was slow and difficult to follow

An absolutely intriguing story .

I loved the multiple twists and turns that seemed to spring from no where. I like the narrator as well. They gave a little authenticity to the story.

Wow. Dull

I kept trying to like this one but it was just boring. Way over dramatic for no reason. Slow. Cringy.
