Publisher's Summary

Lawyer Will Chambers is still reeling from the death of his wife, when he is forced to give up his partnership at a prestigious Washington D.C. law firm. Taking the case of Angus MacCameron, a reverend who has been named in a libel suit, Will sees a chance for redemption. The case seems simple enough, but after a little digging, he finds a vast conspiracy that could shake the very foundations of Christianity. Trial lawyer Craig Parshall’s debut novel is a tense thriller about rediscovering faith and fighting for the truth.

Beautifully Written Spellbinder

Would you listen to The Resurrection File again? Why?

I have never written a review on Audible before, but I have to take the time to do so for this book. I was very impressed with this well written book. The story is deep and compelling. The characters have dimension are are un-cookie cutter like as they weave throughout the plot. Parshall builds the suspense while laying out the complex legal issues in a concise step by step manner. I will definitely. invest in the next two books in the Chamber series. Bravo Mr. Parshall!

What other book might you compare The Resurrection File to and why?

I would compare the File to some of Daniel Silva's novels. Both authors are adept at writing geopolitical suspense stories that grip one from start to finish.

Have you listened to any of Alan Nebelthau’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not but he is excellent. His accents and characters are authentic and key to the enjoyment of listening to this tale. I hope he did the other two Chamber narrations. Again I send kudos.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I had many moments of being moved. I was empathetic to Will's alcoholism episodes. One of my favorite scenes was in the courtroom when he cross examined the protagonist and nailed him. Also, Parshall paints the DC attorney Fox Sherman so vividly one wonders how many arrogant Fox Shermans he has dealt with in his own legal practice.

Any additional comments?

A great author is able to portray characters with depth and dimension. I loved his portrait of the Christian defendant. The man was not a cardboard caricature but was multifaceted and textured. Parshall respects his readers' intelligence and presents us with a real and complex personality.

Again I say bravo to Mr. Parshall for this excellent work.

Good Book ... Good Performance

Craig Parschall may just be the Grisham of the Christian legal genre. He writes with a style that engages the reader. You may know where he's headed, but you'll have a good time getting there.
Alan Nebelthau does a good job of giving Parscall's characters character!

Solid

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book because it is well written. The author creates a compelling story with great characters and a deep meaning. I could not wait to get back to it.

What did you like best about this story?

I found the accuracy of the law matters and the spiritual matters to be very refreshing. I also liked how the intensity built gradually.

What does Alan Nebelthau bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He adds a certain richness to the characters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me think about truth.

Any additional comments?

Read this book and then read the next in the series. I read them out of order but I still enjoyed them both.
