Desperation.

Not a phenomenon Tempest could typically claim, but certainly the catalyst for where she’s landed. Not in peril, or pain, but in dire need of the very normalcy she’s often emulated, but never been able to obtain.

Now...there’s nothing in her way, except all those years of being everything except what she now has to become.

Herself.

As soon as she figures out who that is.

An overall heart-warming story of a woman letting go of her past and finding her true self. An amazing read.

Didn’t know how I would like this story; wasn’t familiar with the narrator, turns out to be good. The storyline was good, but wish it would have gotten a little more into the why from her past. Narrator did a good job with the characters. Some of the issues were real life.

Great story

I loved the narrator (Eboni Flowers). Christina C. Jones's stories are always engaging and flawless. Read the entire series if possible.

I loved Tempest and her reinvention in ebook/paperback, and finally decided to try the studio version! I really enjoyed that this was completely from her point of view as well. It helped to get a clear understanding of this journey into normalcy for her. My only qualm was the weird southern accents for nearly all of the women. Afaik, The Heights isn’t in the south? I’ve read every single book that takes place there and it give me Midwestern vibes over anything else? But anyways, other than that, this was perfect. I can definitely see myself listening to it again soon.
