Publisher's summary

Troubleshooting unusual activity on the company’s servers plunges Robert into a high-stakes game of cyber espionage, mayhem, and murder …

New guy Robert Dulaney would have been content spending his time at the office daydreaming about craft brews and baseball, but strange events begin unfolding during his second week on the job. His employer, Advanced Research Technologies, is racing to beat foreign competitors to market with their solar power storage prototype. They have potentially hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue to gain—and, as it turns out, everything to lose. As the day for testing the prototype rapidly approaches, the danger to those involved in the project increases. Robert is forced to leave his lighthearted life behind and focus on protecting the prototype—and keeping himself alive.

Great build up to a great ending

Really enjoyed, kept me on the edge...Loved the Baltimore connection. Smart, high tech and entertaining. McCormick really got me into the characters and had me thinking in multiple directions throughout. Pick this one up!

Oh, what a web we weave

First off Ron Butler does a great job telling this story...straight forward no phony accents and everything fits well.
Many of us can relate to this story about a young mans first job after graduating college, and not really knowing what the next step in life should be. It doesn't take long for the action to start.
Our hero Robert Delaney is hired by a startup company...and for that he is happy, but like in any job he is surrounded by some he really likes and others well you know.
As time passes Robert finds many problems, solves some and other problems are beyond his talents, so he begins pointing out shortcomings in the company systems, he applies some solutions and suddenly he finds himself at the core of the company security shortcomings.
Threats of deaths, murder, corporate theft, Russian mafia, there of intellectual property, and corporate greed are all otivators in this book...
I know I really enjoyed it, and I am thinking I am glad I spent the credit....I'll be looking for the next book by Matt Mc Cormick

Spend some time with Robert Dulaney

This book is a lot of fun...its a great listen and the narrorator knocks it out of the park. This thriller starts off fast and doesn't slow down...if you are into technology bonus if you are not you will enjoy just as well.

Great - Fast Read

Plot has a ton of twists, narrator is great and you find yourself looking forward to getting back in the car to find out what is next. I would say this is a thriller, but reads a little like an historical fiction as you learn something around computer security as you fly through the story.
