Please listen to Mark Bowen’s speech style. I found it too distracting to continue listening for the duration of the book. The material wasn’t enough to keep me going.

This is not a knock on CS Lewis, but rather the audiobook narrator.

I am one of those who is cursed with the inexorable disability of not being able to retain what I read. Subsequently, I need to listen to all literature that I consume. It is only through this medium that I’m able to digest and understand what the author is trying to convey.

Unfortunately, the narrator that they have chosen for this book could not have been more inappropriate to have captured CS Lewis.

Don’t take my word for it. Sample the preview for yourself. The narrators inability to achieve proper tonality, and inflection is beyond distracting.

I have listened to countless CS Lewis books, and why they chose this particular individual to narrate this book. I will never understand.
