As Prince of the Bear Shifters, I knew the time would come for me to prove myself worthy of my crown. I expected my quest to be perilous. What I didn’t expect was for it to take me up into Espen Mountain, a place that’s brought me nothing but grief and terrible nightmares. Not only must I find the five magical ingredients, but I have to do so alongside Saer, a mysterious and charming shifter coyote summoned by the king to be my guide. Smart men never dabble with demons. I never claimed to be smart, but at least, I’m powerful enough to control them. When I bound Havoc to me nearly 300 years ago, I never realized how difficult he’d make my life, although “accidentally” lighting him on fire every now and then does bring a smile to my face. Publisher's Summary
Prince Owin
Being a fierce predator - not at all adorable, despite my graceful stature - the last thing I needed was a bodyguard. Especially a wolf shifter, whose presence alone was an insult to my princely principles.
As prince of the Ocelot Shifters, I prided myself on my infallible feline instincts, uncompromising dignity, and flawless fashion sense. If having a canine follow me around at all times wasn’t bad enough, I now faced the most important moment of my entire life.
The time had come to prove I was worthy of my crown. If only I could find a way to get rid of the pesky bodyguard...
Grimmwolf
When the king of All Shifters asked me to guard Prince Owin, I admit I had no idea what to expect. Cat shifters tend to be a little intense, not to mention kinda cranky. Owin was no exception, though he seemed crankier than most.
Being his bodyguard was proving to be one of the greatest challenges of my life, but not nearly as great as convincing him there was something special between us.
When Owin was tasked with a perilous quest to prove his worth, I was determined to keep him safe, even if the same couldn’t be said of my heart.

My Thoughts on this fun adventure romance...
This is an immensely enjoyable story. So many times I found myself laughing out loud.
Owin and Grimm where hilarious together. I enjoyed as they traveled together along their quest. And the ending was just perfect.
But what really helped elevate the story for me was the narration. Greg Boudreaux was a new narrator for me, but he was really good. I was so impressed with his performance, especially with several characters in the storyline.
After listening to this audiobook, not only would I love to listen to more of this narrator, but I'd love more from this new to me author. This series shows promise and l'd love to continue with it.

Wonderful new series!!
As a huge fan of Charlie Cochet’s books, this new series had many of the features that made Ms Cochet books so amazing: wonderful characters, a brilliant and interesting plot and a sweet and endearing love story. Of course, with all the action, danger and mystery involved, Owin and Grimm needed to accept they were made for each other to gain more than a reign. And the amazing performance of Mr Boudreaux made this hilarious fairytale even better specially in the interactions between the main characters bringing them alive in a very unique way. Loved it!

5 Stars!
So, funny story, my husband and I were driving my daughter to her grandmother's house and I decided it would be a perfect time to pop in my earbuds and listen to The Prince and his Bedeviled Bodyguard. I’d read the story when it was first released but I couldn’t quite remember it (the perils of reading so many books in a short amount of time). Well, needless to say, neither I nor my unsuspecting family were prepared for the crazy laughter I could barely contain throughout the two-hour car trip. I was in pain from smiling so much and trying to smother my guffaws as I listened to Greg Boudreaux bring these wonderful characters and their story to life. It was one of the best audiobooks I’ve listened to in quite a while and not only because of the great story but also and largely due to Greg’s ability to become Owin and Grim.
Prince Owin, the adorable (but don’t let him hear you call him that) Prince of the Ocelot Shifters, is sent on a quest by King Alarick, the King of all the Shifters, to prove worthy of his title. If he fails his quest, he will be stripped of said title and powers deeming him a failure to his people. But of course, Prince Owin doesn't fear failing, he knows he's fabulous and he has absolutely no doubts about his abilities to prove he’s up to the task of ruling as Prince. Unfortunately, though, he has to put up with the exasperating bodyguard assigned to him.
Little does Owin know that Grimmwolf isn't just an annoying bodyguard hellbent on annoying him. Grimm is an Alpha wolf from a “long line of nobility”. Grimm’s mother is the Grimmwolf pack’s current Alpha and his father is actually the Prince of all wolf shifters. Grimm also seems to have a soft spot for the cute and grumpy Ocelot shifter he tiredly puts up with. Being at Owin's side throughout his quest, he’s watching and protecting him while his feelings just seem to grow stronger and deeper.
Owin and Grimm are so freaking cute together and even from the beginning when Owin spent every moment fighting against Grimm's very presence in his life, you could see and feel the chemistry between them. I could have listened to their story for hours more and laughed at how they just fit so well together.
Owin was bratty, arrogant, hilarious and frankly, a huge Pain In the A*# most of the time. Pretty much the stereotypical cat. I’ll admit this could potentially make him a tad unlikeable for some readers but as a whole, it fits this story perfectly. It made him funny and endearing and I don't think it was too hard to see he cared deeply for Grimm.
Grimm was much more balanced and immediately likable. He gave off the Alpha vibe but his attitude was quite laid back in comparison to what I generally think of when I think of Alpha wolves. He stayed true to who he was throughout the entire story and while his feelings were much more obvious than Owin's, it just added more to his charm.
In the end, The Prince and his Bedeviled Bodyguard is a super cute and irresistibly sweet take on the world of Shifters that will make you laugh out loud. Charlie has a way of creating stories impossible to put down. I love the unique world she’s created that combining paranormal and fantasy containing Shifters and Fae, magic and humans laying the groundwork for a new series. I definitely will be on the lookout for more books to follow and if Greg is narrating them I’m definitely scooping them up immediately. He was amazing!!

Adorable!
I received a free copy of this audiobook to listen to and review for Wicked Reads.
Adorable. The word is bandied about quite a bit in the story in reference to Prince Owin, but I think it’s a rather apt descriptor for the entire story. Yes, there’s plenty of action and a good bit of suspense as Prince Owin undertakes his quest in order to prove he is fit to rule his people, the ocelot shifters. And I cannot discount the steam factor as Owin comes to realize that he feels far more than the dislike and feigned disdain he heaps upon his wolf shifter bodyguard, Grimm. But Cochet balances all that out with just the right amount of humor and several laugh-out-loud moments woven throughout the story in such a way that I couldn't help but find The Prince and His Bedeviled Bodyguard to be an adorable and delightful listen.
I jumped at the chance to listen to and review The Prince and His Bedeviled Bodyguard without actually reading the description simply because I love Cochet’s writing and Boudreaux’s narration. As such, I had no expectations of the story because I didn’t know much beyond the title and the audio sample, but my faith in the author and narrator was well placed. Not only did Cochet pen an absolutely adorable story of an ocelot shifter prince finding love, Boudreaux perfectly captured both the affection King Alarick and Grimm feel for Owin, as well as the snarky insecurity and huge heart that makes Owin deserving of said affection.
I’m keeping my review shorter than normal because I don’t wish to go into any of Owin and Grimm’s tasks, but I absolutely must say that I cannot wait for the next installment because not only am I looking forward to the next prince’s quest, but I really, really need to know if King Alarick is going to wake up to Jean’s devotion to him. I KNOW there’s something there and I’m looking forward to their story being slowly unveiled over the course of each prince’s story – at least I’m assuming the series will culminate with the king finding the love he’s so intent on his “children” finding.

So fun!
This was so much fun! I’m definitely a big fan of Charlie Cochet and her humor, and I think that Greg Boudreaux did an absolutely fantastic job narrating and bringing this story to life! Owin and Grimm are such fun characters with so much sass and personality. Even though this was a shorter story it was packed with action and feeling.
As Owin and Grimm take on this quest, they definitely encounter a lot more than either of them expected. And that includes with each other. I loved their quest, the crazy places it took them and most of all how it brought them together. Owin is so sassy and prickly when they set off, trying to convince himself he absolutely does not like his wolf shifter bodyguard. Grimm is so wonderful, so chill and yet still so very protective. It was really enjoyable to see these two together and eventually get to that point where they realize what they mean to each other and what that means for Owin’s quest.
Fantastic narration and such a cute and fun story, I absolutely loved every minute of it and I’m already looking forward to the next book! I highly recommend this one for a great, amusing read/listen.

I’ve only read 2 novellas by this author…I know, I know I’m missing out on the Thirds series. But I’m on a major audiobook kick right now and I love Greg Boudreaux, so I was all in on this book!
The audio performance is amazing as always. Mr. Boudreaux does sassy prince better than anyone, but he also perfectly showed his vulnerable, cuddly side too. Then he flips right around and is alpha wolf personified with his portrayal of Grimm.
This is a fluffy, cute, sweet and quick read (or listen as it were) with very little angst. Their banter is entertaining and Grimm’s affection for Owin is super adorable. Owin’s personality is the very embodiment of every cat I’ve ever owned or known. I absolutely loved the ‘opposites attract’ theme with him and his wolf protector.
I’m excited for the rest of the series and really hope they continue to be performed by Mr. Boudreaux!

Laughs all the way.
I love Charlie Cochet's work, this first book in a new series is no exception. It's short by audio standards but it's not rushed. It's full of adventure, snark, Laughs, a gentle self awakening and two shifters realising they are in love. I have to say the King is a dense man and I hope his story is a good one.
Add in Greg Boudreaux's masterful narrative and you have a marvelous afternoons listening.

Brilliant 4.5*
Charlie Cochet's writing is great in this, the 1st novella in the Paranormal Princes series.
Owin, Prince of the Ocelot Shifters, is sent on a quest by King Alric to prove he is worthy of his crown, with only a bodyguard and a magic bag (the jury's still out on whether it's a satchel or a *ahem* "manly purse" lol). Given that the bodyguard in question, Grimmwolf, is an alpha wolf shifter you can bet there's tension in this fun, funny feline/canine opposites attract paranormal romance.
Greg Boudreaux really nails all Owin's affectations, sense of entitlement and snark, as well as Grimmwolf's determination and growly protectiveness...he's not without a bit of playful snark either. All in all, excellent narration.

Brilliant new series!
Freaking adorable! Owin is the sassy Prince of the Ocelot shifters having to take part in a challenge set by the king of all shifters in order to keep his crown. Alongside him is Grimmwolf, his very much unwanted bodyguard who refuses to leave his side.
These two men are such different characters but so much fun to read! This is a shorter story but it involves everything that I need to enjoy - strong plot, developed characters that connect with a great mix of emotions. It's a bit of a slow burner as the men spend time in close quarters along Owin's quest, often in situations that the esteemed prince never thought to find himself in but it's clear he needs to learn some lessons along the way. Grimmwolf is Owin's perfect balance in strength, size, humility and temperament.
We start with the story being set up by the King of all shifters and it's fun reading him too, hoping he gets his own story soon!
Highly recommend this story, really looking forward to this series! There are elements that exist in the THIRDS series, with shifters and characters with strong, quirky personalities.
Greg is such an amazing narrator and he truly brings all of the characters and their personalities to life whilst giving the right tone to any situation that the Prince and his bodyguard found themselves.

Quick, fun and sexy
I wanted something short and sweet and this definitely fit the bill. The prince of the ocelot shifters has to team up with his bodyguard, a wolf shifter, to fulfil a quest set him by the king of all shifters… of course, they spar like cat and dog (!) and shenanigans ensure.
It’s not deep and the worldbuilding is minimal, but it’s a helluva lot of fun, especially in audio where Greg Boudreaux demonstrates once again that he’s a master of comic timing (and just about everything else when it comes to narration!)
Quick, fun and sexy – just what I was looking for, and I’ll probably pick up more audios in the series as they become available.

A quest
This is my first Charlie Cochet book. Shocking, right? I’ve heard about her for years, and have even purchased a few audios but have never taken the plunge. I’m glad I grabbed this one as I enjoyed it.
Owin is the prince of the Ocelot shifters. He has yet to earn his crown, so he spends his days filled with trivial pursuits. He knows all about the latest fashion and pop culture. Does he know much about being a responsible monarch? Yeah, not so much. On top of it, he has a canine shifter bodyguard he can’t manage to shake. A dog? Really? Owin’s cat shifter has no interest in interspecies interactions.
Grimmwolf is a patient man. Uh, wolf. He’s been summoned by the king of all kings to watch over Owin, and he takes this responsibility seriously. Does the pampered prince irritate him? Sure. But he’s sworn to his duty and has no plans to shirk it. When he and Owin are sent on a quest so Owin can get his crown, Wolf figures following along is just part of the job.
The quest plays a central role in this story. To obtain the ultimate prize, so to speak. But, as with most good quest stories, the journey is where the real action takes place. Owin and Wolf encounter all manner of creatures while searching. And when they reach the end? Well, the real test is just the beginning as the men have to face what they mean to each other and what they’re willing to sacrifice.
Greg Boudreaux narrated this story and he was a great choice. He nails the prissy Owin and the very grounded Wolf. He makes the story enjoyable and I’m glad I listened. This was a nice tale and I can recommend it.

Such a fabulous start to the series!
5 Stars
OMG, this book was so amazing and fun and hot and did I mention, fun? Charlie Cochet's writing and Greg Boudreaux's voice are a match made in heaven!
I wasn't too sure what to make of Prince Owin at first. Okay, no, that's a lie. I didn't like him or his spoiled attitude. However, I loved Grimm and he was so cute in his obvious crush with Owin that I couldn't help but be intrigued. Owin did get better... eventually, LOL. And frankly, there were times when he needed a good spanking, but it made for some fun situations and I loved seeing Owin finally open up to Grimm. They were awesome together and I hope we'll get to see them again throughout the series.
I'm really intrigued by King Alarick and Lord Jean Eldrich and I really, really hope they'll have their own book. King Alarick is just hilarious.
Greg has such a knack for narrating these kinds of funny stories, not only is his voice amazing to get lost in while listening to the audiobook, but he always does a great job giving each character their own distinct voice and bringing them to life.
If you're a fan of fun, low-angst, adventure-filled paranormal romances, this is a must-read, or rather, a must-listen audiobook, you won't regret it!

So good! Witty and wonderful!!!
I love shifters and add in Charlie's wit, sass, and humor and you have a fantastic read. Greg's performance was flawless and elevated the book to new heights.
I loved both these characters and found their dynamics so funny. I loved spoilt Owin and his dislike of wolves. He grows so much over the adventure and of course, falls for the stoic and strong wolf Grimmwolf. I loved Grimmwolf! He was such a great character and a great contrast to Owin. A wonderful story with wit, humor, and adventure, a little danger and a lot of chemistry. A fantastic, hilarious and all-around great short read, sure to make you laugh along with all the shenanigans. I can't wait for more!!
Thanks for reading!

Amazing Narration of a Fun & Light Story
This one was a lot of fun. It was light and relaxing, a lot of snarky banter, quite a bit of action, and some heat. No real angst, a tiny drop of drama but quickly resolved.
I thought Owin might get on my nerves at first, but I quickly came to agree with just about everyone in this book that he was ..... adorable. :)
I read & listened to this one through Kindle's whispersync. I'd highly recommend it. The narrator Greg Boudreux is amazing at bringing the characters and the story to life. I really think it was his narration that jumped this story from a solid 3.5 - 4 to a 5!
