Excellent collection of ideas and analysis centered around action

I highly recommend this book to anyone hoping to fix the toxic polarization in our politics.

Important Topic

This book provides an excellent overview of the root problem facing our country - primary elections that favor the far left and far right and ignore and exclude the will and desires of the vast majority of US citizens. More importantly the book offers some common sense and proven solutions to address the issue. The only ones who will oppose it are the entrenched politicians who are afraid of losing their grip on power - and their lemming followers who can't think for themselves.

Relevance

This well-written book is completely relevant right now with our democracy in danger of being lost. I’m working on The Open Primaries Initiative right now in Idaho, so it was especially relevant to me. Thank you!

A realistic, solution in line with the Founders Intent

This may be the best, most possible, and most effective philosophy to help America reach the ideal we all dream of. I actually am feeling hope for our future again!

very sobering

Before reading this book I believed ranked choice voting was more important than the primary issue. I still believe both are important but if your main goal is to stop a second civil war then the primary problem is more pressing. Tribalism is slowly destroying the nation and too few people can see it. It's like the frog slowly boiling to death in the pot of water.

important and a road forward

A bit repetitive, but I can see why the author felt the need to hammer home his points with so many examples that it would be difficult to ignore.

The best, and worth every minute reading, every penny spent, is the pragmatic and workable path described to help. I like that this is offered as a tool to help allow other solutions, not as a magic cure, but I am absolutely convinced that election reform is crucial for the United States.
