Publisher's Summary

New York Times best-selling author Nora Roberts returns with the classic tales of the MacKade brothers - their rebellions, their passions and their loves.

Jared MacKade believes in taking a stand, and he never turns his back on a fight. So when his work as an attorney brings him up against Savannah Morningstar, her rude behavior and strong defenses aren't nearly enough to scare him off - quite the opposite. Thoughts of the outrageously direct and sinfully sexy woman keep Jared coming back for more. And the more he gets to know her, the more determined he is to stand by her always.

Much better than expected

Usually I find Nora Roberts stories good but wish they did not have so much character mind ramblings. Well this series made my wish come true. The books are shorter and the stories more precise. Female characters are tough and the MacKade men irresistible. The sex is passionate and love develops fast. Well it has to in a 6 hour story. I enjoyed it and found it well worth the money.

Hideous Narrator

I couldn't even get through the 3rd chapter. This narrator made the main female character sound like an old worn out hooker. I just couldn't get through it. What a waste if a credit.

Recommended

Very good follow-up to Rafe's story. This story can stand on its own however, is greatly enhanced when read in series order. There is so much I like about this story. Little lessons learned and the strength of the female character.

Unenjoyable voices

I love Nora Roberts' books. I have read many of them, a few I have listened to. This one annoyed me too much, particularly due to the voices of Savannah and the little boy(s), as read by Luke Daniels. They are too high pitched that I had to control myself not to widebrush the book as annoying, If I had read the book instead of listening to the audiobook, I MIGHT have enjoyed it. I don't even know if I dislike Savannah's character or just the sound of her voice. I give the story 3 stars out of this uncertainty.

Wild ride

This continued story in the series was a wild ride, well done. People often review "predictable", well what do you expect? I am always hoping for a happy ending.
