Story
In Joel's Schwartzberg's 10-plus years as a strategic communications trainer, the biggest obstacle he's come across - one that connects directly to nervousness, stammering, rambling, and epic fail - is that most speakers and writers don't have a point. They typically have just a title, a theme, a topic, an idea, an assertion, a catchphrase, or even something much less. This book shows you how to identify your point, leverage it, stick to it, and sell it and how to train others to identify and successfully make their own points.

Publisher's Summary
Caution: This book can help make you wealthy and happy or, depending on your situation, wealthier and happier. But only if you approach it with an open mind.
Start with this thought: Your success in your professional, financial, and personal lives depends to a great extent on your ability to articulate.
Throughout recorded history, many thinkers have noted the importance of being articulate and the power of words; you'll find a few of their comments in the book. Pete, however, goes a giant step further by connecting articulation to wealth and happiness and to the clear thinking and better decisions that thwart mediocrity. He quite correctly points out that we think in words, and we need more words to think with as the issues we need to resolve become more complex, as they do when we rise in any organization and when our close relationships mature.
Pete has successfully and clearly connected wealth, happiness, and words with compelling evidence. Now you can make the same connections, and you can follow his succinct guidelines and become a true Articulate.
This book isn't a cure-all for those who are dissatisfied with their professional, financial, and personal lives. No book is. But this a good start.

thoroughly impressed
This was actually an eye-opening book that I really appreciate very much. I'm actually scared to write a review because I wonder if I'm going to be judged upon for not being very articulate 😄😄😄 this book is an absolute must-have if you are on the self-development road. being articulate is one of my angles after pushing myself to my educational limits. this gives you a good insight for what someone at the top looks at. it's like a bird's eye view from an articulate that judges other people on being articulate.

What did you love best about The Power of Being Articulate?
I am impressed by the research behind this gem, especially the decades-long studies that statistically connect vocabulary to articulation and then to success in business. The chain is so clear that it is startling and cannot be ignored by thoughtful businesspersons at every level. Read it and reap the benefits.

What did you love best about The Power of Being Articulate?
You can't be a leader unless you can articulate your plans and strategies to all stakeholders. For proof, visit John Yasinsky, former EVP at Westinghouse and former CEO of GenCorp who grew up in a grimy coal-mining town near Pittsburgh. He's profiled in Chapter Three.
