Publisher's Summary

Twice before, Thomas Covenant had been summoned to the Land, the strange, otherworldly realm where magic worked and his leprosy vanished. Twice before, he’d been dragged reluctantly into conflict against Lord Foul’s minions, with disastrous consequences for everyone around him. Now, Covenant is back.

In a land blasted by war and drowning in despair, Covenant is the only hope against Foul’s imminent triumph. Yet in order to win he must stand against his dearest friends and direst foes in combat. As Lord Mhoram leads the armies of the Land in helpless warfare, the wild magic of Thomas Covenant’s white gold wedding ring is once again the Land’s only salvation - and he still has no idea how to use it.

Why do you do this to us??!!!

I love this series. At this point I am almost done with this book (4 hours left). Why can’t I find the next three books? The wounded land is the next one and I can’t find it anywhere in audio. This makes no sense. The series after this one is out. I love this series can you please get the next trilogy out on audio or am I missing something? Otherwise I will be forced to change my rating due to not being able to go forward with this series.

Excellent

I read these books 40ish years ago. L am so happy to finally find them in audio form.
One of Scott’s best performances, IMO. Just wish that the second series was on audible also.

A must read for anti-hero fans

everything you've come to expect in a protagonist hero is cast aside. a powerless champion with unfathomable power. A villian with depth of character and beauty. still in the end the good guys die evil however diminished survives and you leave sustained. take the time hear the tale become renewed

Stunning. Donaldson and Brick are amazing!

A story like no other. Adventure, anguish, joy, revelation, and ultimately that of understanding. An unrivaled series.

Phenomenal

These books are dear to me. So when I heard Scott brick reading meeting I wasn't sure what to expect. I mean how can you do justice to these books.. Suffice to say, he we did do justice. A great performance. Bravo!

excellent narration. Brick nails it

I don't know why anyone would talk bad about Bricks narrative skills.

When I was a kid I had read both trilogies of Thomas Covenant. I was pleasantly surprised to see them as audiobooks and started listening. The narrator is second to none. I enjoyed it so much I went to his website and purchased volume 1 of the second trilogy since it's not available on audible, and will begin listening tonight.

started the chronicles when I was in the military

it was the early 80s, then an honorable discharge, college and life, got half way thru the second book, the story was never far from my mind, I began against few months ago and part of me feels reconnected to my youth. The story moved me, there were times I began to feel some despair myself. I love Thomas Covenant as the reluctant hero of the land, both his world and the world he finds himself. I look forward to starting the 2nd chronical.. I feel compelled to know what happens next.

Where is the Wounded Land series?

I have enjoyed all the Thomas Covenant stories and am anxious to continue revisiting the rest of the series but you don’t carry the next Trilogy- The Wounded Land. I hope it becomes available soon.

The vocals were done well enough to not detract from the story which is often the weakness with audio books.

Sometimes the protagonist gets tiresome in his angst facing his moral failings but the plot is good and there are many great supporting characters moving through the action to keep the story compelling.
