Threadbare has been kidnapped by pirates!
But this is just the first step in the plan of the malevolent and mysterious puppeteer who's manipulated the pirates into bear-nappery. Which was supposed to be a proper princess kidnapping, but things went a bit sideways.
To uncover this strange mastermind's plan and properly thwart it, Threadbare must play along, keep his friends alive while they attempt to rescue him, make new friends, and help the old ones during this dangerous journey to parts unknown, all to confront the deadly and devious beastkin known only as the Phantom of the Lop Ear…

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

I was curious what others were saying about the series and I ran across some reviews with complaints about political wokeness. The ??questionable?? passage was a single 10 second portion where one of the characters were discovered to be transgender and Threadbare basically said it's not my business nor does it bother me, you do you. An author takes from their own experiences and the world around them for inspiration and to call it political or WOKE because an author lightly touched on an issue that is so prevalent is “Stuff & Nonsense.” I seriously would expect animal-human hybrids to “sew” more outcry and to get people up into “arms” than a quick blurb recognizing that people are different and it's okay. If you are offended by animal-human hybrids with “Bunny Feets”, a 10 second blurb acknowledging a single transgender character, or one of the many “phantom” things that someone could work themselves up over, you should probably avoid this book and any other work not found on the Florida schools approved reading list. And yes, I did work portions of the first 6 book titles into my above comment. :D
Not my favorite, but still great
