Once again the narrator does not fit the story

When picking g a narrator try to pick someone who fits the character, the narrator has a clear voice and good annunciation but sounds like a much older woman than the characters in the book

I really don’t understand how this book got so many good reviews. I’m not super hard to please at all. I just wanted something that captured my attention. I was never excited to listen to this story, but I kept going and waiting for the exciting twists that never came.

lots of tense moments, great twist and turns left me doing a lot of "wrong" guesses!!

Worth Your Credit!

I was just unsure about this book, I was interested and kept listening - and so glad I did!

Good but predictable

I liked this book overall but it isn’t a thriller mystery by any means. The ending is pretty predictable and anti-climatic.

Interesting

It took a while for this story to take off, but once it got there I found it hard to stop listening. Nice work for a debut.
I do think however that they should have chosen better on the narrator, her voice did not fit the characters in the story itself. My opinion.

Ridiculous

This book has the most far fetched plot you could possibly imagine. It's downright ridiculous. As other reviewers have mentioned, the narrator sounds much older than the characters whose voices she's doing. I downloaded this book before a long car trip and that's the only reason I listened all the way through. If I'd been near a computer and able to exchange it I would have.

Good

Enjoyed this book - slow in a few spots but not bad. I recommend this book.

Not for me

I can't really think of a good reason for not liking this book. I did not care for the story line, or the narrator's voice, but those are personal opinions that others probably wouldn't agree with me. Just because it is not my particular style, certainly does not mean it is not a good book for other people. That is why I said 3 stars.

Slow moving at first

Picks up pace halfway through. Twisty and not what I expected. Great ending. Will definitely read more by author.
