Publisher's Summary

A werewolf walks into a bar.

Tank is working as a bouncer when he notices something odd about the sexy-as-sin bartender. He’s odorless, he’s amazingly popular with shifters, and he’s terrified.

A man without a smell.

Isaac is trying to escape his past. He hides in San Francisco, because everyone knows that there are no werewolves in the Bay Area.

Until one walks into his bar.

Can a gentle werewolf with a trampled heart show a man who’s been running scared that sometimes there are monsters worth running towards?

New York Times best-selling author Gail Carriger (writing as G. L. Carriger) brings you the next in her charming gay werewolves series. The San Andreas Shifter books stand alone and do not need to be listened in any order. But if you're a stickler, this book comes after Bryan and Max's story, The Sumage Solution

Delicate Sensibilities?

This audiobook contains m/m sexy times and horrible puns. If you get offended easily, then you probably will. San Andreas Shifter stories include blue language, dirty deeds, and outright admiration for the San Francisco Bay Area. Not for the faint of heart, or mouth, or tongue.

if you are black and love your people...don't buy

I am being very sincere. white writers do not take the time to do research and or consult black culture or authors and it shows up in the worse ways. They show their racial bias in the descriptions of the characters... like eyes and skin the color of food, also comparing a black shifter to a "work horse" is pretty gross considering history! if you're not willing to create a fully realized non-white character, then stick with what you know!

Wonderful

I loved this. Tank and Isaac are lovely and sweet, and it's great to see old friends. I can't wait for Judd and Colin's book, and I really hope Lovejoy and Mana get a book, too.

Loved it

Loved this recording. The book was already fabulous but the narrator added even more depth.

Inconsistencies In the Accents

For some reason in this book Marvin, raised in Boston and California, suddenly has a British accent.

Better than the last, but still not the best

The last book in the series was nothing but a porn novel with almost zero plot. This one was much better. The plot was pretty solid, but it still had just so much sex in it that it still made for a weak plot. There was a lot more, but it still seemed a little weak for the amazing books that Carriger has written before. Better, but still disappointing. More thought on the plot next time please.

Beautiful

Gail Carriger is my absolute favourite contemporary author. I have read or heard every one of her books at least twice, and I always hope she will write more. She is original, insightful and amazingly imaginative. The main characters in this book are a perfect example of that. I will go so far as to compare miss Carriger to Jane Austen, in that the inner struggles of her characters are engaging, touching, amusing and believable. I have completely ignored my family for the ten hours it took to hear through this book. Please give us more!

This series makes me happy

I'm currently listening this book for the third time. I've listened to the previous book in the series probably 10+ times. I'm a heterosexual female, but I love these books. Gail is great at writing quirky humor that makes me relax and feel joyful while also developing characters that I truly care about. Kirt is excellent at bringing these characters and their quirks to life through his voice. I cannot recommend this series enough for anyone who enjoys paranormal romance.

Yet Another Fantastic Listen!

This book is just awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, and listening to this audiobook has equalled and surpassed the first. The humour, highs and lows, sass and storyline is just fantastic. I said in my previous review on the first book that, G L Carriger‘s humour was TJ Klune like - I feel unjustified in the correlation. G L Carriger has made the humour her own in her own right, yes, the humour is similar, but not the same. This book has shown this more so than her prior book and shows the humour and sass in her own right! I truly hope that there are going to more stories in the San Andreas Shifters series, a LOT more! I can’t get enough of this series and the fact I have listened to over 30hrs (2 books) in 2/3 days I feel speaks volumes of how captivating the characters and storyline is for this series. When in book 3 going to be released???

Enjoyable listen

I listened to the first book in this series and remember being a bit disappointed, but finding it ok. I got this book on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It was close to being 5 stars for me! Think maybe I will give more of this author’s work a go after all.

A great addition to the series

Loved this book, it's great to see a different take on the omega role and the power dynamic between Tank and Isaac. Looking forward to Jud and Colin's story next. Hope it's not too long a wait.

Would give this more than 5 stars if I could

Realistic, superbly relatable characters with very human strengths and weaknesses, set in a fantastic reality (or a realistic fantasy, if you prefer :-D). I just love the world she creates and I really look forward to the next book coming out.

Really enjoyed this book

Loved the first in the series and was excited to start this one....was definitely NOT disappointed! Again, lovely plot and characters, for me the way it was written and then performed by Kirt Graves, this was an amazing book! Shame I now have to wait so long for the next book but got things come to those who wait I guess

G L Carriger hits the mark again!

Another excellent book by G L Carriger, smoothly following on from the previous book in the series. Very well read again too. A very good plot, with a mix of humour, character-building / expansion, a little intrigue and romance of course. Developing the story of the San Andraous Shifters. I'm not interested in descriptions of gay men's sex, but those parts can easily be skipped and if it's not your thing it's worth skipping to enjoy the rest of the book. Audible or another publisher should be supporting such an excellent author as G L (Gail) Carriger to make sure all her other books are recorded and available in the UK.

A pure joy

The books are well written and narrated. As a gay man it’s an amazing escape from every day life and you fall in love with each of the characters because even though their supernatural you can relate.

a masterpiece

A perfect blend of all my favourite things. amazing world, vivid characters, heartbreakingly fragile big tough guy stupidly in love with a fucked up yet nurturing outsider. I've really read such a perfect pairing. I just wanted to lounge in this story forever. I would read about these two and their pack having breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or flossing. I don't even care. Jus let me hang with them.
