entertaining simplicity

I love this book! Jon gives so many great examples, an entertaining narrator, and simplifies so many concepts and ideas. He keeps it simple and real and it's a breath of fresh air while he gives examples and practical knowledge.

There are a lot of great take aways and aha moments and the book feels like story time instead of blasting you with useless information.

Can't finish, I keep re-listening to chapters

I'm lovin' the book. I'd have been done with it but I keep re-listening to chapters.
I've recommended it to 4 people in the last couple of days.
It complements Jon Goodman's Online Trainer Mentorship (OTM). (I'm in OTM's 12 week, program) but you don't have to be a trainer for this book to have value. Everyone I've recommended it to either owns or is a key staff member of a small business.
I'm on the chapter about being Famous to the Family. I've resisted engaging in local events b/c I had my mind on the online world but this chapter changed that. So, I just agreed to a wellness fair in my little town of Savannah with other PTs, OTs and area health professionals. I'll be following suggestions from the book to build up, "My People". I'll be re-listening to this book for years to come.

Refreshing and Reaffirming

A great read for any industry, this book offers a refreshing perspective and challenges the echo chamber of misguided advice that often misleads business owners and entrepreneurs (myself included). It’s a reaffirming guide for those seeking clarity and actionable insights to navigate their journey to become the obvious choice.

Helpful without being overwhelming

If you desire to earn "enough" to live a financially stress free life from your business this is a great book for you. If you are trying to make as much money as possible this would not be a great book for you.

I found it a relief to think in terms of "good enough" and not even need to become moderatley famous to actually earn a living helping people through my business. He shares a lot of good ideas and his transparency at the end about how he earns a living was insightful and appreciated.

This is a book I will go through multiple times to learn from and plan future business decisions.

Valuable insights from a whale

The author never disappoints! As an OTA graduate who has read all his books, newsletters and actually spoke to him years ago, he’s the real deal. Although the book is full of actionable advice and relevant stories, I particularly enjoyed the accompanying PDF and the afterword discussion on his income breakdown. Over the past 50 years I have read more than 4K books on personal development and performance optimization and highly recommend The Obvious Choice and all of Goodman’s other books!
