Swap Narrators

This was such a great story about self discovery later in life. The conflicts were not as bad as I had expected being that one was an escort and the other one a wealthy heiress. There love story was great and very steamy. The only thing that I would have wanted was to have Abby Craden read read the part of Belle instead of Reina. This is not to say that Tessa Stavers was bad since she did a great job narrating but all steamy scenes should really be reserved for Abby since no one can do them quite like her. All in all, I recommend this one.

Romantic & sexy sapphic romance…

This was fantastic. Reina is feeling very lost post-divorce and with her children having left the nest. Enter Belle, Reina’s new pool tech that she can’t seem to keep her eyes off. Belle is also an escort by night and I was so happy with how that fact was handled by Reina. Read the blurb for a better description but I thought this was a beautiful sapphic romance between two single mothers at different stages in their lives. There was also a decent amount of sexy time written extremely well.

One of my favorite books of the year!

The Next Life was one of the best I've listened to this year, and I've listened to (and read) alot of books. The characters were dynamic, the story was sweet with heat, and the voice performance was every bit as good as I expected it to be. This book is going into my "listen again" file for sure.

Sexy, beautiful story

i loved this story from beginning to end! The double narration was different but I enjoyed it. Any book with Abby Craden is going to be fantastic! The MC's were likable and believable. Sex was hot and well written. Def adding to my relisten list!

Love this book

Not enough drama, but a lot of hot sex which covered it. Loved Bell, who has no age. Narration was excellent by both narrators.

Engaging Story!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A depressed and isolated new divorcee takes a journey of self discovery as she hires a female escort, who is also her pool girl. Reigna is immediately smitten with Belle, much to her surprise. And Belle, the escort, is also smitten with Reigna. They navigate what they think is attraction and watch it develop to something more. Narrators Abby Craden and Tessa Stavers are fantastic in moving the story forward. Lise Gold and Madeline Taylor have written a gem. Definitely a good read!

Loved it.

Dual narrators took a bit of getting used too. Abby Craden has such a rich beautiful voice that the second narrator seemed flat. Fortunately she grows on you and by the end of the book it was very helpful to separate the two different characters.

Love the book!

I’d read this before the audiobook came out and was uber excited Abby was one of the narrators. I ABSOLUTELY assumed she was Belle before listening because Abby’s voice is made for that type of character and was surprised when she was not! 🤦🏽‍♀️ It’s still a good performance by both narrators, I really just wish the roles were reversed. Still a great book and worth a listen!
