Publisher's Summary

Multi-park owner and manager of her own mobile home parks Laura Cochran believes that owning a mobile home park is the best investment - and attainable for anyone who wants to add a mobile home park investment to his or her portfolio.

"Purchasing a mobile home park is in my opinion, and based on my own 20 years of real-estate and mobile home park investing, the best alternative investment for the serious investor. I think every investor should own a mobile home park, and here is why:

  • Low to zero vacancy rate
  • Steady monthly income.
  • Predictable monthly cash flow.
  • Good return on investment.
  • Investor has control over cash flow and vacancy rate.
  • Additional opportunities to increase cash flow through rent raises and eliminating utility bills via pass-through billing.
  • Mobile home parks hold their market value and appreciate in value.
  • There is always a demand for affordable housing found in parks.
  • You retain your initial nest egg that you purchased the park with - your investment dollars are intact."

Great Book on Mobile Home Park Investing

This is a great book exposing how a well managed mobile home park can be one of the best investment vehicles that exist today. I will probably buy the paper version even though I listened to the entire audio version. the book contains a lot of useful information to reference.

Good information but strays from the point

Good stuff. My one complaint is that they spend way too much time selling you on the idea of MHP. If I bought the book, I must believe in this investment, right? At least I believe in real estate in general over basic stocks. This books just drones on about the merits of MHP investing, but I’d rather they just give more info on parks themselves.

Excellent information, very worthwhile to read

I highly recommend this book. There is much information, and many tips worth considering. Author does a great job, and is well organized. I listened to the audiobook twice, the second time taking notes. Well worth it.

Worth $100

I purchased 3 books on MHP investing to listen too on deployment and after finishing all of them this was by far the most succinct and informative.

She doesn’t waste time with hypotheticals and anecdotes that the other authors employed to fluff their books. It’s a short read with a long lesson. Much like drinking water through a firehose.

Lots of details but needs examples

Laura provides a lot of detail on how to invest in mobile home parks but also things that part of acquiring such as the lending process, why to take the leap in getting the properties, and completing the due diligence. I'm an investor of apartment communities looking to acquire mobile home parks so I was looking for more examples/case studies of real world properties that were purchased. There were some details but not the whole stories of the properties I think that's the best way to learn if examples would've been provided it would've been a fantastic book that's whats missing.

very Thorough

Very informative. initially was a little slow at times. But, quickly picked up steam as she began to explain the ins and outs of negotiating and buying a mobile home park.
