Nice to be back in the world but that only goes so far.

Hopefully greases the gears
Overall good story. I loved the description of the Fae deal going down. I listened to NotW and WMF leading into this so it was pretty noticable that Nick kind of lost the voices for the characters, especially Kote, but it wasn't bad, just noticable. Hopefully a softball project like this gets the wheels turning for Pat on Book 3. Still not happy about the broken charity promises, so hopefully this wasn't just a cash grab.

Liked: Everything.
Disliked: Nothing.
Would I have liked to hear more from or about Kvothe? Sure. But that clearly isn’t what this story is, and it in no way detracts from or makes me “dislike” it.

Scratches the itch
It’s been 12 years. This ISN’T “that” book, but it’s damn good. Left me weeping and hopeful. Hits hard, but good, too. If anything, though, I’m thirstier for the next Kingkiller. Maybe one day.

a beautiful story with information, humor, deep emotion, and all the incredible smiles that goes with a story from our beloved Rothfuss! in addition, the most honest and enjoyable authors note to date! Thank you professor Rothfuss, you amaze me with the words that mortar you world to our reality.
