Masterful Narration Meets a Classic Mystery
Joel Froomkin delivers another stunning performance in Agatha Christie’s “The Mysterious Affair at Styles.” His talent for creating and maintaining distinct character voices brings Agatha Christie’s beloved Hercule Poirot to life! As a longtime fan of both, I was amazed by how effortlessly Joel makes me forget it’s him narrating - his dialog delivery is unmatched.
Christie’s intricate plots with their surprising twists never fail to impress, and this story is no exception. The introduction of Hercule Poirot, who has become as cherished as an old friend, is a true delight. I look forward with hope to savoring each book in the series, all the way through to “Curtain,” which brings us back to the very setting where Poirot’s journey began and the biggest “Christie Twisty” of them all.
This audiobook is a must-listen for fans of Christie and Froomkin alike.

Great Narration of a Classic Mystery
I have read or listened to this Agatha Christie novel several times. This was an extremely well done narration and I'm very glad I picked up this version. The narrator's character voices, pacing and performance brought the story to life and made it fresh. I loved being introduced to my favorite funny little Belgian in a new way. While this is not my favorite Christie novel, it is enjoyable to remember how Poirot and Hastings got started. I hope Joel Froomkin decides to narrate more Christie novels, and soon!
