great installment

Review of audiobook originally borrowed through my library’s Hoopla app, but later purchased through Audible. I’ve listened to this multiple times before reviewing.
Possible Spoilers:
Our main characters in the series are Private Investigator Charlie Dodge and his amazing, kick-ass, overachieving assistant Jade Wyrick. Twelve-year-old Jordan is kidnapped by her previously absent father and taken to live in a cult. Between Charlie’s reputation and recognition, and Wyrick’s mad mad skills they are able to track down Jordan and get her returned to her mother.
Wyrick is shocked to find the cult was funded by UT, Universal Theorem, her former employer and current stalker. Meanwhile, Charlie is still dealing with his wife’s rapid decline into early onset dementia.
Gold does surprisingly well as narrator.
Both the MMC & FMC are fantastical and larger than life, but it’s an enjoyable read and time out.
Recommend the book and series.

Great story

I have been reading Sala for years. Some of her earlier works show that she was still developing as a writer. This story was written well and solidly plotted. I will absolutely be reading or listening to anything else that she writes in this series.

I love Charlie Dodge and Wyrick. All the characters were spot on. Couldn’t quit listening! I wish I could just go to the next story, but I know it doesn’t work that way. Adam Gould performed wonderfully. This is definitely not a waste of credit or money.

I never write reviews, sorry authors, but this book was fantastic. I have other books by Sharon Sala, but you can bet I will be getting more.
