What do you get when you have a teenage witch and a teenage wolf shifter plus a "promise" they make?
Well you get a promise that is a curse! I loved this story so much!
Violet and Silas story was fantastic and the plot was so much fun! I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

Love this witchy/shifter romance!

I had been eying up this one and saw book 2 was coming out soon so thought why not listen to it now?! And it's middle of September so it's the perfect time for some witchy reads to go with the start of Fall and spooky season. I enjoyed this one and liked the twists and turns the author dished out and cannot wait for more in this series!

I wanted her grandma to get what was coming to her. You knew right off the bat she wasn't good with how she talked down about other creatures. I didnt believe her for a second she was doing it out of the kindness of her heart/her daughter was the reason things happened and she was saving her. Won't spoil anything but I am happy with how things turned out, the new alliances, more side characters we met, answers we got to put this nice standalone in the awesome pile. I am intrigued by Violet's besties and happy they are getting their own HEAs in the other books in the series of interconnected standalone romances.

I liked the powers, the creatures (shifters were a focus in this one), the power struggles, the small town atmosphere with the different businesses. I liked the mate aspect and seeing Silas's #2 find his and have a HEA was adorable but to see the difference between Jonas and Silas with their mates was a good juxtaposition. I liked how things kept getting in the way but overall you couldn't deny Violet and Silas's chemistry. I loved Silas and wanted to shake him like his wolf wanted too. I thought he was hilarious from the get go sneaking out and getting the cupcake haha. I liked the concept of the hex and not being able to get rid of it until the truth came out. The truth about their pasts, the truth about their feelings, about who they are to each other, etc. The ooey gooey moments were fabulous, the sexy times were also great, I could eat up more of these 2!

Audio was good, I enjoyed both of these two. I liked how different they made the shifter parts so they felt more animalistic/feral at times. I thought there were some lulls in the story but the narration really helped drive the storyline and keep me engaged. 4-4.5 stars from me! Love this author and their works, can't wait to get more of her books for my bookshelf!

Cozy, Sexy & Fun!

Violet and Silas are mates, but they don’t know it when they make a pact at 16 to marry each other at 30 if they aren’t married to another person. Of course there are more nefarious reasons for them being apart, but the hex forced them together. Once that happened, they needed to fight for their marriage and their mating. I absolutely had a blast reading the Marriage Hex! It was cozy, sexy, and a lot of fun! Violet and Silas were strong and possessive. The secondary characters were fabulous! Plus the cozy fall vibes was what I needed during the hot summer!
