Publisher's summary

Kai's memory has returned, Acilla has been saved, and he has finally been reunited with his friends, allowing him to once again focus on his main goal—leaving the Trial Worlds and returning to his sister.

But this will not be as easy as it seemed at first.

The turbulent events have led Insulaii, Ferox, and Bellum to collapse. Old conflicts flared up with renewed vigor, prompting forgotten Masters to emerge from the shadows and begin their final game.

The stakes are sky-high, and a global re-division of all three worlds is just around the corner. The chaos will not bypass Kai and the Eternal Path Temple. And it depends only on them whether they will survive this storm and make history or end up in the dust, like many others before them.

Will they be able to survive in a cruel world ruled by strength and skill?

In the world of cultivation, where there are always new heights to reach?

Another great one

This is one of the few series that I have enjoyed from start to finish. I can’t think of any of the books in the series where I said oh, he’s losing his touch. I’ll be waiting on pins and needles for the next book.

Not loving it. It's turning into a dramatic soap opera.

The book itself is fine but it has a definite sense of spinning wheels. Nothing new is happening. It's just morphing into a dramatic soap opera. the same plot is just recycling itself. Everyone is having a constant uncontrollable emotional breakdown, screaming and frothing one minute then the next they are having a power breakthrough because of their ability to focus and control themselves.. Not sure that I'll be continuing the series.

I used to really like this series

This and the three previous books have gotten ENTIRELY too complex with dozens of fringe characters that aren't important, getting way too much time. Too much unexplained "in universe" terminology, not enough time spent on Kai and his friends. Spending hours of story on random characters from 3 books ago is a good way to confuse people or put them to sleep, especially since there aren't any refreshers as "who's, who's or whats, whats" This series needs to have a refresher prior to chapter 1 of the important characters and terminology. It also needs to drastically cut down on the characters, there are way too many useless characters. This series use to be amazing when it was about the adventures of Kai and his friends. Now its about dozens of people on multiple planets in multiple galaxies, talking about unknown people and places, using unknown terminology. Kai and his friends barely received any time in this book.
