Publisher's Summary

A world of violent passions and inhuman hungers explodes as ancient taboos and primal desires collide.

Wolf Were Alpha Sylvan Mir wants nothing more than to keep her pregnant mate Drake safe in their secluded stronghold, deep in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, but enemies, political and praetern, force her into battle. Sylvan must confront the Vampire Chancellor Francesca, a one-time lover, about her part in a recent attack on Mir Laboratories—a confrontation that will test Sylvan’s alliance with the Vampires and lead to war. Francesca’s enforcer Michel, with a secret sexual conquest in Sylvan’s Pack and a Were centuri newly-turned Vampire, Lara under her command, may have divided loyalties, too. Lara, born to fight in service to the Were alpha, finds herself caught between two worlds, belonging to neither, and her unexpected obsession with an enemy Alpha puts ancient loyalties to the test. In a world where humans and praeterns conspire for the ultimate power, violence is a way of life...and death.

Awesome Performance

One of the best narrators I ever had the pleasure to listen to. The amount of voices she portrays is amazing and I always knew who was speaking. Can't wait to listen to more novels that are narrated by this amazing voice. Great job.

Not a We’re, but Vampire!

Thanks for putting this book on Escape. Hearing these stories again (read them years ago) will make book 7 an easy transition. Love the way L.L.RANND takes a character, builds your emotions into them all, and it’s the end of book. This character is off the cliff, (in the next sequel) , but will continue to show you how to understand the cliffhanger. Thanks for the great book. Off to my next adventure.

I am Alpha, I am Prima

The storyline itself I enjoyed, what I didn't enjoy was the overuse of title and dominance that bordered on disturbing and the sex between Sylvan and Drake every 30 secs!

I saw Sylvan as a bully. She may be the Ware Alpha but why did Radclyfe have humans lowering their eyes to her as well like everyone who graces their eyes upon her has to have their own presence diminished in front of her.

I also didn't understand why we needed to hear every other word "my mate!" I mean....we get it!

My favorites are the Vampires... I positively loved them for the exception of Francesa. I think she had just as much sex as Sylvan and Drake that on my second listen, I skipped their parts.

i absolutely love this series i have listened to every book and intend on buying the next two. the story is amazing it keeps you holding on and wondering whats next. i feel what they are feeling as it is written so graphically. i recommend the series to anyone who enjoys beautifully worded novels of werewolves, vampires, werecats and everything in between including humanz. Was alright

I like the overall story, or layout, in all of the books. However, I feel, that it lacks depth and complexity. It's very predictable. I also think that it's too sexual. Instead of writing sex 'scenes' every few paragraphs, L.L. Raand could of added more intense story. If I could give it 2.5 stars I would.

Alpha and Omega superb

Would you listen to The Lone Hunt: Midnight Hunters, Book 4 again? Why?

Yes i would. I really love listening to the dominant weirs and vampires been dominated by their mates.

What other book might you compare The Lone Hunt: Midnight Hunters, Book 4 to, and why?

this is exactly like "the honor series". Once almost reach the end of the series it gets a little monotonous not as exciting as the others

Have you listened to any of Maxine Mitchell’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No this is the first one.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

at the end when they killed Andrew and sylvan would not shift back to skin and mourning

Any additional comments?

I hope this is not the last book in the series as i am pretty sure the story has not ended yet.
