Autumn has descended and crops are being harvested all over Crozet, Virginia, ideal conditions for a scenic drive for Harry and husband Fair. I enjoy all the characters in these series. I do wish the cats and dog would fight less, but such is life.

This was painful

I've loved the Mrs. Murphy series for a long time, but even my long attachment couldn't disguise how bad this book is. It was more of a manifesto than a murder mystery. By the time I turned it off (I couldn't finish it) I had forgotten who was murdered because it became such an afterthought in the story. The last few books have been leaning this way and it's such a disappointing end to what started as a cute whodunit series.
