Gripping. Had me from the start until the very end!

I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good murder/mystery novel. Gregg Olsen is a master story teller!

Interesting

There were some questions that went unanswered in my opinion, but overall intriguing book. I kept trying to guess what would happen next and I was always wrong, but that's a good thing :)

Excellent Book!

This is a fantastic book, unique, full of suspense, and so well done you won’t want to turn it off until the end. Highly recommend!

Good narration

I enjoyed listening to this book and Karen Peakes narration. I will look for more books by this author.

Riveting Story

The story was so compelling but I feel like I would've enjoyed reading the actual book more. Though the narration was good I found the different character's voices a bit distracting and kind of redundant. I would have preferred the narration without the attempt to distinguish the characters by changing the sounds of their voices.
The story was heartbreaking and outlines the terrible things that result from bad choices and the resulting impacts to so many people. A lie has a ripple effect goes far and wide with often devastating consequences.

Conflicted

This book kept me listening because I was so upset with the decisions the main characters were making. I needed resolution! I finally got it in the end. I listen to a lot of dark stories but I think this one got to me because the crime was so senseless and done to a child.

There were a few unexpected plot twists, one unrealistic development, and the ending wasn’t completely predictable. I had an idea of what it would be but not until the end of the book.

Overall it kept me hooked emotionally but it was a stressful read at times. Wouldn’t full heartedly recommend to everyone but it could be right for you.

Great listen!

I am really glad I listened to this book. Once I started, I couldn't put it down! I was a little irritated by the ending at first, but as I thought about it, I realized that was the best possible ending for this particular story.

Gripping Mystery

Just when I thought I was figuring things out I was wrong. This was a suspenseful story, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. I took my dog for a longer walks just so I could listen to more chunks of it at a time.

Loved the relationships, how you truly felt you knew them. Felt the heartbreak and every emotion. A brilliant listen too. Highly recommend

When you think no one is looking...

The emotional rollercoaster on this one was quite overwhelming! I'd say it hits hard on all sides. Gregg Olsen has once again shown what each and every character contributes to a tragedy! I wouldn't be surprised if this was inspired by true events... Humans are selfish creatures!
