Experience a bold take on this classic autobiography as it’s performed by Oscar-nominated Laurence Fishburne. In this searing classic autobiography, originally published in 1965, Malcolm X, the Muslim leader, firebrand, and Black empowerment activist, tells the extraordinary story of his life and the growth of the Human Rights movement. His fascinating perspective on the lies and limitations of the American dream and the inherent racism in a society that denies its non-White citizens the opportunity to dream, gives extraordinary insight into the most urgent issues of our own time.Â

Story
Eric Jerome Dickey strides boldly over the minefield that is modern marriage. The central couple's biggest challenge is timing: He works days; she works nights. Instead of growing together, they're rapidly drifting apart, coexisting on stolen phone calls from work, punctuated by occasional bedroom encounters that leave them both feeling even emptier and more alone. When she finds out about his affair - and starts her own - the delicate fabric of their marriage is torn irrevocably asunder. Or is it?

Lost its momentum
This audiobook had all the elements of being a great production -- intrigue, a good story line, a narrator with a pleasant voice, plus interesting and well thought-out characters etc. But somewhere after the climactic scene, it fizzled out into a dud. It was about an hour too long for my taste. An abridged version would have sufficed.

Good first venture into a new genre for Tyree.
Good first effort for Omar Tyree as he ventures into the urban crime genre. Uneven at times with the pacing and the message can be heavy handed but I appreciate the intent. Ending wrapped up a little too neatly for my tastes but it was still an entertaining Story.
