The eleventh volume in the spine-tingling, best-selling Last Apprentice series. In Slither, Joseph Delaney takes us far from the county, to a land where a spook has never set foot and where terrifying creatures of the dark thrive. Slither is one of these monsters, and Book 11 is his tale.

Slither has never heard of Tom Ward, the Spook, or Alice Deane. He thirsts for blood. He takes it from whatever he wants, animal or human. And he has his eyes on the home of a farmer and his three daughters. With his dying breath, the farmer offers Slither a bargain. If Slither will take his two youngest daughters to safety, the eldest daughter is his. A journey of horrors begins . . . and along the way Slither will meet Grimalkin, who is still searching for a way to destroy the Fiend for good.

The eleventh volume in the series that inspired the major motion picture Seventh Son, starring Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, and Ben Barnes.

I would like to get back to Tom and the main story instead of stories from other people's perspective, or new characters. Just my opinion. Was an entertaining read though. Another good Delaney book.

Entertaining

the female narrator ruined the book for me. she was way over animated and rushed. other than that it was great.

great story

This book is actually incredibly scary with some pretty hard themes. It is book eleven, by then a faithful reader would’ve been older. I wouldn’t suggest you let a little kid listen to this, that being said...wow. Slither is, in humble opinion, the best instalment in the series. That’s saying something too, because this one of my all time favourite series.

RIP Christopher Evan Welsh.

Angela Goethal is the worst narrator/voice actress i have heard and its killing the story!!!

I love the book series BUT!!!

Great depth

And by the end you know enough about the characters to know when they are lying to themselves

And why the lies really meant

Loved it

I liked the book overall, but it seemed like the lady narrating--in the first half of the book--is over animated when it's really not required. It also feels like she reads faster than the pacing should go. Feels like you can't stop to catch a breath, and not in a rush of excitement, good way. It settles down in the latter half of the book, but the first half was rather distracting for me on her parts. Still overall a rather interesting book, initially a bit jarring with the perspective change, but I had the same deal with the grimalkin book too. Once I'd adjusted to this being more like a side story, I enjoyed learning about all the stuff.

Good Story, Narration Distracting at Times

Awesome creative story! Loved the dynamic duo duel inside the Arena! Way to bring the old witch back into the story. Well done!

Awesome Story!

The girl narrator is super frustrating to listen to after original guy did so great with all other books. Just...bad

The girl narrator OMG

I loved the book, just the reader Angela really killed the voices of characters and sounded like a disembodied robot all the time. She just always sounded super suspenseful for no reason and it really bugged me. However as far as the story goes, it's an interesting spin off. Not bad, but not really needed to tell the story. Yes, it looped in one character but not really in the best way. I don't know maybe it just leads up to more later. But I've finished the whole series and I didn't really see it.

I really don't like Angela
