Probably the best story I've ever heard

After having read "the way of the peaceful warrior" I became very interested in the author Dan Millman and decided to look up another one of his books. Being very interested in the individual that is Socrates, the title "the Journeys of Socrates" spoke to me in particular. From the very beginning, I got drawn into the story and become even more interested as the story progressed. The story depicts the connectedness of all that is creating (in me at least) a certain trust and surrender to the incomprehensible ways of existence, God, the higher power, whatever you want to call it. This book genuinely rekindled a sense of trust in me in God that over the course of my troubled past couple of months I felt I had lost. It feels like I was meant to hear this. Thank you, Dan Millman, for writing this book.

Great Book!

I have read several Dan Milman's books and loved everyone of them. I expected more of a self help type of book told in a story, but it turned out to be one of the best stories I've read in a long time. Anyone who has read Way of the Peaceful Warrior will love this book and be astounded by how Dan ties it all together in the prologue.

Life Changing

I read "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior" prior to "The Rise of Socrates". These books radiate deep into my soul as if The Universe & God meant for me to hear their messages exactly at this moment in my life. They have woken up to life on mpre levels than I can begin to describe. The philosophies & inspirations drive every principle that I put into my company, my life's work, & my time I have here on this beautiful world. Thank you!

Fantastic, emotionally draws you in.

I read this story many years ago and loved it. That is why I purchased this audible version for a road trip my family took. Like I thought, it was hit and as it did for me many years ago, it drew my family in with emotional energy. 🤔🤔My only question: do you think Socrates is still alive? 😉😉

Perfect to read after he way of the peaceful warrior

This book gives me an extreme appreciation for the way of the peaceful warrior and what Socrates passes to Dan to share with the world, makes me think of what all clashes in the world so that we are who we are now, and how a decision someone makes affects so many lifes, even a century or more later.
Thank you Dan, Socrates, Ania and everyone who had to go thru what they had to go thru and still kept going.
Makes a difference in my life and many more

Fills in some blanks

Very enjoyable story, easy to listen to. No great spiritual insights as such, but fills in some of the blanks from the Peaceful Warrior book very nicely.

The beginning of the end

And now it all makes sense, if there is really any sense to be made.
