feels like the author is in the room

Millman is delightful to listen to. He offers many helpful suggestions and helpful reminders, much like a coach. I really enjoy this book and author very much. He can be hokey at times, but in a good way. Feels like an uncle giving a pep talk. I listened to the first 3 parts straight through, and I have a short attention span! Effectively lifts me up, softens my inner critic, calms my moodiness and does get me thinking. The practical, yet open-minded and gentle approach is informative in and of itself. He is a great teacher in my opinion.
