Publisher's Summary

Jim and Karen Blackmore have discovered that when it comes to the zombie apocalypse, there is no such thing as safety in numbers. Between their separate groups of survivors is a city of the living dead, hungry for flesh and growing in numbers by the minute.

As Jim and his newly minted gang of zombie killers fight their way to his family, Karen fortifies her hideout and prepares for an emergency escape she knows is inevitable. As night falls and their chances of seeing the dawn seem impossible, Jim and Karen's only wish is to reunite as the end of the world begins.

Fantastic Story Made Better by the Narration!

This series just keeps getting better and better! Please bring books 4-6 to audible soon! Being left hanging like this is miserable, as I get much more enjoyment out of these books when listening. This narrator kept me hooked from start to finish.
Karen is my hero! She even shocked herself with how much strength (both physically and mentally) there was within her, and it only came to fruition when she realized her children had their lives on the line. After that, absolutely nothing else mattered to her but keeping them from harm at any cost. Her fierceness and willingness to go to absolutely any length to protect them is nothing less than heroic! Nothing stronger than that mama bear instinct! The amazing nonstop intense graphic detail, combined with the witty dry humor interspersed throughout, is top-notch and much appreciated!
Books 4-6, PLEASE!!!!

Amazing!

Dang, I sure hope there is gonna be another book! Just left me hanging! I loved all 3 books in this series each book left me craving for more. The action just kept coming. I am just sad that there isn't another book to go straight into after this. The narrarator was great! He brought each character to life and had me sucked in pretty quick. If you love Zombies, action and gore then this is the right book for you

Love these books

I've previously read all of this series. I love each of them. I have enjoyed listening to this book on audible! The narrator does a good job of smoothly jumping between characters(both genders), and keeping you immersed in the story line.

Totally awesome sauce

As always this is one of the best written zombie books out there. Probably as close as you will get to work could actually happen in a zombie apocalypse. Each book gets better and better. Zombies the end of the world that’s all bad. But through in humans and you have more evil than you can even want to deal with. Follow our characters as this drive to escape the city and reach their loved ones in another city and then make their way to safety. Evil abounds zombies everywhere and be careful and look out because the lowlife crept humans are running around as well. You love that character well don’t get too attached because as in real life nobody is safe. Can’t wait to check out the next one on audio. This narrator with my favorite so far. Check them all out

Not what I hoped for.

I hate to say it, but I was really disappointed in this audiobook. I love the series and was eager to add this one to my collection. The narrator didn't do it justice at all in my opinion. Quite often it was hard to tell when he was going from one character to the next, and when he was speaking as a woman, he was shouting or whining when the dialogue didn't call for it at all. It was really distracting and annoying. Then there was the issue of trying to sound like a Latina woman and instead sounding more like a muddled Irish (maybe) accent. I'm not usually such a harsh critic of either sex trying to give voice to the opposite in an audible, but I really hated this one. I love to listen to my favorite audiobooks over again, but sadly this is a one and done for me. I'm not likely to continue buying these with this narrator on board.

Loved the Story, but........

I’m a loyal fan of The Infected Series; usually, I read the kindle version and up until now I had no issues...
I found the narrator of the story to be lacking in ability to project the emotions of the characters and he simply sounded like he was being paid to read a story. There was excitement where there shouldn’t have been and sometimes sentences, chapters, thoughts, etc. just ended abruptly. There was a scene where he read the sane sentence twice! Mind you, the written words hadn’t changed; the book was well written. The narrator didn’t read the story well. I often had to go back and listen again because some scenes and thoughts of the characters were hard to follow. My advice to the author would be to either narrate his own stories, or have someone that understands his books and characters as well he does, narrate them.
If this had been my first contact with The Infected series, I wouldn’t read/listen to any more in the series.
Maybe, I’ll just stick to the kindle versions! But, hey, like I said: well written (I had already read the kindle version), well thought out, and believable characters…now all that is needed is a new narrator!!! Just one woman’s opinion…

Really enjoyed this continuing zombie story.

I hope this series continues! To anyone whom maybe put off by this narrator, please give it a couple chapters, his voice grows on you. This book is well worth the listen.
