Mark Hammer is the worst!

I read everything I can from Elmore Leonard. I love his works including this book.
I can not stand listening to Mark Hammer. The first time I herd him was his reading of a Dave Robicheaux book and I took an immediate dislike to his reading. I don't understand why anyone would us him to read their book.

Another Elmore Leonard great

Loved listening to this story. Great story switching between who you think is the main character and who it becomes.

a great Leonard story

this is a classic mid 70s Elmore Leonard with plenty of action and setting and a little bit of sex. this is marred by the narrators inability to do more than different voices. at certain points it made it very difficult to know which character was which. while he's a decent narrator in terms of pacing, when you have this many characters you really need somebody who's a little bit more versatile.

Voice characterization.

Audible may be a good way to listen to stories that may not be that easy to find at the library. I was glad to hear this one. I don’t think I ever read a copy of this one. Elmore Leonard is a favorite author of mine.

Really great story.

Another really good Elmore Leonard book. The narrator with all due respect could’ve been better. Still totally worth the listen.

Good story

Terrible narration. Pretty good story but the voices for the characters were all over the place.

The narrator was the worst!!!!
I will never listen to an audio book by him again, unless I have a case of insomnia.
The story was also a disappointment.

Excellent...

Great story. Intense and well told. Lots of action told in a colorful dialect. Keeps you in suspense while enjoying the humor.

Cannot download more than the first five chapters

Audible a rip off. This is the second book that only downloads the first five chapters Cannot get entire performance, story or content.
