Humor, heart, and yes, hot messes

This story was a wonderful mix of humor and heart, things I’ve come to expect from a Pippa Grant story. The duet narration by Summer Robert’s and Tyler Donne was spot on. I loved this story when I first read it but hearing Pippa’s words always take them to the next level. Ingrid was a character I think most people can relate to - someone trying their best, feeling overwhelmed, and afraid they are failing those they love who depend on us. Levi as the pop star with everything but realizing he wants more was vulnerable. I loved watching him realize through his relationship with single mom Ingrid everything his own mom went through as a single mom herself. I loved the cameos from other folks in the Copper Valley world. Such a wonderful story and great listen, I highly recommend!!

Disappointing narration

So Pippa Grant is hands down my favorite author, but I have to be honest the male narrator totally ruined this story!!!!! He is so monotone and robot like it’s hard to listen to especially during the parts you know are supposed to be funny. He is a playful character which totally does not come across very disappointing and I really hate saying that. I usually gobble her books up and I’m actually only half way through and I’m finding it hard to want to pick it back up again I’m sure I will at some point but just so i can finish the story.

Cant get over the narration

I’m a big Pippa Grant fan, and was super excited for this next story in the bro code series. But I was so distracted by how poorly the narration fit the characters I couldn’t get in to the story. Levi’s character has been pretty clear through the series Tyler Donne is not the right fit. I had to spin back through the Thrusters to rinse it out.

My favorite single mom romcom!

Gah, I love being back in Copper Valley… between the Thrusters, the Fireballs and Bro Code members all living there I am pretty sure this is my dream location! Levi and Ingrid are great, he is the typical rock star who falls for a normal person but Ingrid is the shining star for me, she embraces the pure crazy and messiness that motherhood entails but she rolls with it. Seriously, there is something about a book store that caters to exhausted hot mess moms that just calls to me! As with all of Pippa Grants books there are some hilarious guest appearances by animals, I think books with comedic relief pets are some of my favorites! Even though I completely love Ingrid and can connect with her on so many levels, there are so many characters in this story that pull together to make it great; Ingrid’s kids are equal levels of awesome and terrifying, but my favorites are the glimpses of Ares, Felicity and Beck. Ares will always be my favorite but Beck has me cracking up whenever he appears in Pippa’s books! I can't wait for the remaining former Bro Code members to meet their match in their own books! Summer Roberts and Tyler Donne both did an amazing job with the characters and all the hijinks this story entailed!

For all the moms who do it all

A delightful funny story with three kids keeping mom on juggling to keep it together. And a pop star that may just have found home. I enjoyed the voice the narrators had even for the kids. If you’re already a Pippa Grant fan, you will appreciate the guest appearance.

whats not to love about about a loveable relatable hot mess. her kids are remarkable and scary. I love her books store and how she dived her sections. Levi is so sweet. his devotion is swoon worthy .

The fairytale

One of those stories you would love to have be true that could never be. A good number of smiles, all the characters in this one are likeable. I'll listen to it again sometime.

This was so welcome

Finally a book where the main character doesn’t have her stuff together can admit it and still gets the guy. Yes my prayers have been answered. These characters were so well done and I loved the kids and the squirrel and even the description of the types of mothers.

I love all Pippa’s characters!!

I love all the characters in Pippa’s books, and this one is no different. This book has a lot of interaction with the kids. Low angst. Great family relationships and values. This is not the typical rich guy buys everything for the girl in need book. The narration was ok. Tyler has a good reading voice but I didn’t feel like his voice was a good fit for Levi’s character/personality. I definitely recommend this book! 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

Ah Levi!

Ingrid bookstore owner, single mom of three has the one person enter her store she never expected to see. Levi Wilson, popstar who years before saw her sign she held up at a concert. Now divorced with three kids, she is crazy busy trying to keep her life on track, and now this man comes to town and shows a persistent interest. He has no intention of settling down, but if he can spend some time with this fascinating woman, he is all in. Until he falls not only for her, but for the kids. Will Ingrid and Levi be able to find a happily ever after? First, I love Pippa Grant's integration of characters from other books and series. The Thrusters are a nice touch, and melted my heart. But that is not all that makes this book. It's a refreshing change from a woman who is put together and successful searching for her man. Ingrid is a mess, someone any mom can relate to! She doesn't ask for forgiveness for her mess either. It's who she is, and the stress of being everything to her business and kids definitely takes a toll. There are laugh out loud moments that I absolutely loved. Levi is sweet, and I love his personality. He is easy going and just makes everyone at ease. And with the kids, I was just swooning. It's funny, it's romantic, it's messy, all the things I love and enjoyed.

Summer Roberts and Tyler Donne are a fabulous team and their story telling was amazing. Spot on comedic timing and voices that fit the characters I fell into the story and felt that warmth in my heart. It's a fantastic addition to the Bro Code series.
