“You can’t help but fall in love with Lynsay Sands!”
—Christina Dodd

Whether she’s enthralling readers with the exploits of her Argeneau vampire family, transporting fans to the Scottish Highlands, or enchanting them with love affairs of the noble lords and ladies of the Regency ton, New York Times and USA Today bestseller Lynsay Sands knows how to pen a winner! The Heiress—the second book in the very sexy, very funny Regency romance series she began with The Countess—is further proof of Sands’s historical romance mastery. The winning tale of an alluring beauty desperately seeking a poor husband, The Heiress is exactly the kind of sharp and witty read that fans of Julie Garwood and Teresa Medeiros—not to mention Lynsay’s own army of aficionados—are looking for.

This book was quite boring for the first 4 hours as it was exactly like the first book, almost word for word except for the few parts when Daniel and Suzette were alone because it was from their POV. But in the last 3 hours the plot was good. But I don't think it's worth a credit if one will be listening to the 3rd book as I'm sure all will be explained in that about what happened at the end of this book.

As for the narrator she wasn't very good as the men all sounded like, either females or young boys. At times I couldn't tell who was talking, whether it was a man or a woman.
Also, I said this in my review of the first book, I can't understand why both narrators pronounced the word dowry, dower, its quite annoying as it is used quite a few times.

Now on to the 3rd book the hunt for Lisa's husband.

Boring

Wish there was a little bit less of the previous books plot but overall a fun regency romp!

Decent story

I thought Faye Adelle's performance was good but after hearing and loving the characters voices in the first book it was hard to like the new ones. I wish they would have stuck with the same narrator.

Just as funny as the first! I love when a series takes you back to a situation and gives you the other character's perspectives.

Still a good series!

If you have read The Countess by Lynsay Sands don't waste a credit for this book. It is just about the same book except this is the sisters view of the same story. It was a good story, but again I felt like I had wasted a credit. If you have not read The Countess then I would recommend this book. I did read both and I must say I liked The Countess the best out of the two books.

This is a good book but....

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Over half the book was what went on the the first book of the series, I really got bored. I doubt I'll purchase the third.

Too much from the first book.
