She’s also no fool, and when she senses she’s about to take the fall for her mother’s murder, TJ, her boyfriend, her best friend, and her nine-year-old brother go on the run. As Lillie Virgil tracks the kids across a trail of burglaries, stolen cars, and even a kidnapping, intent on bringing TJ to justice, Quinn sets out to find the truth back in Tibbehah. Someone has gone to a lot of violent trouble to make TJ and her friends the logical target of the investigation. It’s easy, and who cares about a bunch of lawless kids?

As the bloody evidence against TJ piles up, Quinn knows someone truly evil is at work here - and that puts TJ and her friends in more danger than they can imagine.

Loved it

I was so happy when I seen that Ace Atkins wrote another book and I love MacLeod Andrews as the narrator. I love all of this series I highly recommend and can not wait for the next book to come out.

A fast paced knockout!

The narrator did a great job. This book was hard to set aside Togo to bed. Action from start to finish. Ace Atkins does a great job!

Salty, colorful, vulgar, witty, and full of plot

I don’t know why I love the Quinn Colson series so much. This one didn’t last long, I did a marathon listening session with it.

Ace Atkins has created a great world. Half of my family is from the South and these stories are such a great reflection of the complexities that exist .. great reads

nothing better than a long, slow journey through atkin’s land. the dixie mafia is in fine feather and quinn colson will once again have to reign them in with help of the inimitable lilly vergel. keep sending them our way ace!
