Really hard to follow on audiobook
I had high hopes for this ‘suspenseful thriller’ but I was left wanting more. I considered stopping the book after each chapter but felt too invested to just quit. I wish I had just moved on.
The multiple characters called by their first name then their last name then their first name was confusing. It was quite a challenge keeping up with a parallel story.
It just wasn’t for me.

A Damn Fine Read
I first became a fan of Ace Atkins through his Quinn Colson novels, so this is my first non-Colson read (listen, in this case) by him and it was a really good novel. I recommend it with ease.
