Publisher's Summary

What if you could easily make better decisions? Enhance creativity? Slow down aging? You can. Simply by understanding your heart's intelligence - which has more impact on our emotions, our mind, and our physical health than was ever thought possible.

And what if you learned that there is something you can do - potent tools that can channel your heart's intelligence - to live a healthier life with greater potential than ever before? Now, at last, the internationally esteemed HeartMath Institute shares its research and the revolutionary techniques relied on by prominent physicians and Fortune 500 companies.

In this audio, the authors offer astonishing proof that the heart has an intelligence, one that profoundly affects our mental and physical health. They have proven that when the heart's intelligence is engaged, it can completely alter our heartbeat, blood pressure, and hormone levels.

As our bodies react to stressful emotions, it often results in physical and mental imbalances. Heart intelligence gives us the ability to better regulate our emotions leading to improved health and enhanced mental functioning. The HeartMath techniques will show you how to deepen the qualities long associated with the heart - wisdom, compassion, courage, love, strength, and joy - to experience these benefits and more.

To the Bad Reviews of the Narrator.

Obviously you have not done your research cuz Mr. Martin is a co founder of HeartMath. If you’d do your research you’d know he is a brilliant man of his time. Absolutely genius. As is Gregg Braden snd Joe Despinza. So do your research people If you gonna buy the book. Before you review Look him up on YouTube or Google.

Much Needed

I'm glad this was on audible, it would have been hard to get through due to all the science-y stuff and I would have set it aside. That would have been a shame because the topic is so vital and offers tools for healing that we all need. I will probably listen again after a break.

I am glad I bought this book.

This book is SO interesting! The information is presented very well, without a lot of rhetorical repetition. It is actually rather quick and easy to listen to. I plan on listening to it again.

If you’re also trying to fix yourself after relationship trauma

I’ve listened to a lot of books trying to understand myself better. This has been due to a very traumatic ending to a 10 year relationship with someone I believed to be my “ride or die” partner. The HearthMath Solution provided some enlightening aha moments that have helped advance my understanding of how I process the world around me. I recommend keeping a journal nearby for the plethora of quotable concepts and perspectives because it’s got a handful to keep in mind.

This book is for those who need help falling in love with living again by learning how to recognize how they respond to anxiety so they can gain back control over and even improve their emotional intelligence. At least that’s what I took away from it. All my best to the rest.

Why did they pick a Southern accent for the narrator?!

I don’t know if it was just me but it took extra effort to digest everything because I had to peel the layer of the accent...

Otherwise, all good.

That redneck accent!

The narrator was so bad. I could only take the word "Hort" for so long. I could not focus on the material when the redneck/southern accent for narration is all I could hear. Pay somebody without an accent $100 to read your book.

Life Changing

I really liked learning about the HearMath philosophy/solution. I look forward to incorporating the techniques taught into my life. My ability to manage anxiety better could definitely improve my human relation skills with family and friends. I look forward to learning from more books on this topic.

Difficult to understand the narrator/author because of heavy accident. This detracted from a positive listening experience for me.

Read if it's your first ever intro into EQ

What started as great introduction to try classifying emotional intelligence, quickly turned into rumbling about heart and how one must follow it without any scientific backups or at least trying to sound serious.
Audio quality also was not the best. Narrator not the best. I stopped when narrative went into text my grandma used to tell after reading bible.

If you haven't heard anything at all about EQ, it could be nice intro, but otherwise - waste of listening time.

A must for the modern world.

This should be a must read for the 21st century. If this was taught in schools, the younger generation would have a much better chance to make it through the stress of exams.
As a master practioner of NLP, this is a perfect addition of tools to incorporate. I must thank Gregg Braden, as it was him mentioning Heartmath that alerted me to this book.
Seriously thinking about taking a full course in Heartmath on the basis of this book.
It was just that GOOD!
Big Thank you to the Heartmath Institute for sharing this on Audible. 😊

Thought provoking.

Opened me up to new ideas. Having suffered in the past with arrhythmia, great to hear a way out of this condition, in fact the condition drove significant change in my life.

Great introduction to Heart Math

Informative, to the point and easy to absorb. Comprehensive yet not drawn out into an overly long book that I'd give up on. This is interesting food for thought and has practical easy to implement exercises.

Excellent Summarisation about Herat brain coherence

I am really inspired by the information given in the book regarding heart intelligence and how to regulate the coherence between heart and brain. I would also recommend to follow the YouTube videos by Dr Joseph Dispenza and Gregg Braden in this regards.

Very valuable contents

I have gained much awareness of the impact of the heart on my emotional and mental states and presence. Because I understand the internal relationships better I can deliberately interrupt negative downward spirals and create change for the better (with some practice!). I absolutely see the necessity of increased heartfulness, which, according to heartmath, can create coherence in our whole system, and reduce the overpowering, relentless overactivity of the rational, conditioned mind. Highly recommend the contents of this book to anyone living within the current world climate.

I have given 3 stars to performance as I struggled with the fairly marked accent of the narrator. As a non- American listener I reduced the speed to 0.75 in places to follow the text, which makes him sound almost drunk 😆

The world needs this!

I found Howard’s voice a bit challenging, but that’s only because of where I’m from. Interestingly enough, when my general waking mood improved to one that was more open and accepting, I found it easy to listen to.

No fluff, good science (without all the jargon that can sometimes discombobulate and plenty of practical and easy exercises. 👌🏼
