Bad narration.

Good narration Is essential. The book is not engaging. Hard to get to the content because of the challenging narration. Even when sped up, it still does not help. Does not flow and is monotonous and elementary. Might try to get a hold of print copy to assess content.

THE book on coaching that rises above all others

In my coaching life of 20 years I have read many books over the years. I can confidently say that this book has helped me advance my skills and my confidence more than any other book I’ve ever read. Just when I thought I knew pretty much all I needed to know about coaching this book gave me the reality check I needed to raise my game. From it I found out crucial mistakes I was making that I would have never realized otherwise. Since I started putting all the concepts into action I find my coaching sessions are vastly improved and my clients are experiencing ‘the shift’ to a much higher degree and a more impactful degree. On top of it all, my confidence has shot way up. This book is simply a MUST READ (and reread).

Accelerate narration to 1.45!

This is the most informative, insightful, concrete and useful book on professional coaching I have read or listened to so far. I am greatful to the author for writing it!

This book is suitable for the more advanced professionals, and is trully a gem.
The narration is easily fixed to near-perfection by merely accelerating the playback speed to 1.45.

Don't miss out on this one.

A Must Read for Coaches

This book made me better. At everything. You must read this book. Her insight and ability to dive deep into coaching conversations is nothing short of remarkable. But this book is not entertaining. What makes this otherwise dreary listen bearable are the lightning strikes of brilliance on virtually every page. Its not her voice or performance that are lacking, she does as good a job as possible in reading what is essentially a textbook...it is the holy grail of textbooks...but its still a textbook.

I don't often buy a hard copy of books I listen to, but this will be one of them.

Extremely Helpful!

This book is extremely helpful for increasing awareness, clarity, and sensitivity, not only for Coaching but for improving general communication skill. The author, Marion Franklin, has refined the Art Of Coaching not only to be more concise and brief, but also more Sensitive. This book could be helpful to Anyone and is a great resource to refer back to. The Audible version of this book is narrated by the author and is very absorbing. The insight the author shares in this book is brilliant, powerful, and extremely helpful. I highly recommend it!

For those of you who have said you find this book to be narrated too slowly, you can easily adjust the speed by touching "Speed" at the bottom of the app and increase the speed to be as fast as you like.

I bought both the Audible and Kindle versions of this book because I find it THAT helpful!

Fast Client Awareness Over Limiting Emotions

Engaging narration by the author. The concepts of laser coaching made sense. The method of this style of coaching has a place in today's world! I also appreciated the case studies. I have listened to the audio version multiple times and plan to read along with the audio again when the book arrives. It was just that good.😊

So well read and the content is so freaking valuable! I constantly rewinded to re-listen to so much powerful information. As a new coach this is a treasure full of valuable information. Half way through this amazing audio book I ordered the actual book.

An absolute must for all coaches

There are many books available for coaches about the importance of powerful questions, how to listen, high performance coaching, G.R.O.W etc. but this is the first I have found to really break down how to make long lasting, transformational changes in clients. The book is jam packed with clear examples and coaching conversations that clearly illustrate her points and I was having lightbuld moments from start to finish. This is one of the few audiobooks that I will be listening to for a second time, immediately. The fact that this doesn't have more reviews really surprises me. An absolute must for coaches that want to make a serious difference to the lives of their clients, and not just another "To do list". Thanks Marion!

Fantastic coaching book, well written.

It's reassuring to know that the way I've been trained to coach isn't there only way.

I've been coaching the way Marion does, by going to the heart of the situation, for wow some time and had been feeling like I might have been doing something wrong. The great results my clients say they get is why I continue to coach in this way.

I highly recommend this book to any coach who is interested in holistic coaching, getting to the root of a coachee's challenges so that they are better equipped to deal with future situations. This is a great way to help coachee's to improve many areas of their lives by getting to the core of their challenge.

As flat-line as a laser.

When it comes to book narrating Marion is a wonderful author. Great content let down by not being read by a professional VOA (Voice over artist). As much as I wanted to finish it, with over 6 hours left, I had to quit. The content is very good but this really should have been narrated by someone else.

Excellent listen, that provokes you to question and reevaluate how you coach to get those positive and meaningful interactions when coaching.

Honing in on the issue of Coaching

Marions book reflects exactly my coaching methodolgy, so you can expect a bias review here!

If there was a book you need to read as a coach, this is it! Very well written and to the point regarding how to coach the.person and not the problem, Marion advocates being concise with your questioning, charitable with your listening and patient with the silence.

Great content but the narration was slooooooow

Great content and a good intro to laser focused coaching but had to play it at 1.6 speed as the narration was painfully slow. But at 1.6 it sounded normal enough!

Essential Coaching Resource

I’m a life coach preparing for my PCC credential and I believe this to be the best book about ‘how to coach’ that I’ve read/listened to thus far. I don’t like to clog up my shelf with books but a few chapters in I was so impressed that I ordered the printed copy as well so I could highlight passages and insights that I wanted to come back to and reflect on.
I would describe this book as insightful, clear, direct and to the point. Much like her coaching style itself. She provides the best descriptions and explanations of HOW to reflect and ask concise questions that I’ve encountered. It has lots of good examples that illustrate the ideas and techniques without unnecessary fluff. It was well read by Marion. I’ll definitely be listening to this book more than once as I work towards incorporating these techniques into my coaching sessions and I’m recommending it to all my coach friends.
