I absolutely loved this book. Paula once again wrote an amazing story of magic. I can't wait for the next!!

One of her best

Loved this book! I think THOHC is one of Paula Brackston's best works - a thoroughly enjoyable page turner. Definitely on par with the quality of the "The Found Things" series. Actually wished my commute to & from work was a little bit longer so I could continue to listen & listen... And as usual, Marisa Carlin's narration rocks as well! :) Cannot wait for book 2.

Interesting Story

I really enjoyed the narrator for this book and how she was able to bring it to life. The story was unique and I liked how it went against the norms of the time for women. I love a female heroine and this one didn't disappoint. overall, great fun.

Good Story

I liked the story. The narration was a little off to me. I’m not sure if it’s the way the narrator read it or if it was something in the editing process but I had to check several times that I had not accidentally sped it up. There are many times where the speaking sounds almost as if it’s on fast forward. Her voice and inflection were fine it was just the speed that was off.

Another winner by Paula Brackston!

Paula Brackston does not disappoint with this book. I can’t wait for Part 2 in the series!

Another lovely masterpiece!

Paula has once again knocked one out of the park with this new series. Hecate is a lively and exciting character and I cannot wait to read more books about her and her adventures and peril. Paula is an amazing author and I love all her works! But the book but the audible!

It was very enjoyable

I loved how the book keeps you guessing and enjoyed each character for who they were.

Intriguing story

Excellent narration and well developed characters and plot kept me listening all night. Descriptive verse gave sense of place and time.

Slow start but gets better.

The narrator‘s voice was very strange at first, but I really ended up, loving the main character and how she approached the world. I also just love the way the British talk to each other. I’m excited about the second book in the sequel.
