Received and gave as a Pride gift, certainly not your typical audio book, in more ways than one. "The Hair-Raising Adventures of Jayms Blonde" is a boundary pushing, vicarious romp of action packed fun -- a much needed escape from day to day drama. From the first chapter to the last, this agent provocateur stimulates your imagination whisking you away on a light-hearted adventure to what else? Save the planet of course! A humorous, fast paced international mission of mystery, camp and silliness chock full of kinky one-liners, arousing innuendos and double entendres galore. The narrator, character voices and real-world type sound effects at every turn provide slick, polished imagery through an easy-to-listen-to storytelling style, reminiscent of old timey audio plays. And Mother, Zaza and Vichy are truly something else!

Reading this and hearing the audio book are quite different experiences! I would recommend that if you are looking to understand what vision the author had in his head, the audio book paints vivid scenes and characters. Feels more like a radio show than traditional audio book. The musical score helps the "reader" move through settings that are easy to imagine as the author's description makes the imagined space easy to picture with lush descriptions. Lots of innuendo, action and some surprisingly scary interactions dabbling in strong horror elements! Obviously, hours of work went into making the world of Jayms Blonde come to life.

Incredibly Funny and Entertaining

It reads like, I mean…it listens like a Hollywood movie. Great job, loved it and it’s fun.
