A new gritty origin short story in the End Time Saga universe

A dismembered body in the park....

Grand Rapids Detective Bill DeYoung is an old-timer riding it out until retirement. A ravaged body in the park and a drunken witness are about to change his plans; so is the end of the world.

The events happen concurrently with the first novel, End Time, but it can be heard at any point in the series to get exciting additional content on the origin of a main character.

Action packed

It started a bit slow, but it was necessary in order to build up to the action. I haven't read the series yet, but after finishing this, I will definitely be starting it soon. This provided an excellent sample to the authors skill and a good example of what will be in the series.
The narrator's gritty voice definitely adds texture to the authors words.

Enjoyed this short story

I enjoyed this Short story. I wish the characters had a little more common sense. Why would anyone let a person bite a chuck of flesh out of them, then still give 'em an opportunity to do it again. But it is just a story.

Started slow , but ended great

I enjoyed this book. It is the beginning of a hopefully good series. I can not wait to listen to the rest of the books.

Zombies everywhere

I'm not especially fond of zombie stories, but this one was pretty good. It was a short story and story about a couple of characters trying to survive.

Short but thrilling

Fast paced action as society transitions into the apocalypse. I only listened to this because I had listened to the first 3 books in the end time saga. It gives a quick look at what Tess was doing when the outbreak started. I wonder if Daniel Greene will do more origin stories for other main characters in the End Time Saga.

I really enjoyed how this origin story played out. The narrator did an excellent job with the voices. I look forward to hearing how this storyline continues.

The End Time Saga in fun-size!

I didn’t realize before I listened to ‘The Gun’ how much I was going to hope for an origin story for so many more of these characters! Who knew you could have so much character development in 80 pages or less?! It only took a few paragraphs for me to want more of these new characters and to be so invested in what is to come for them…although, if we’ve learned anything from Mr. Greene, it’s to not get too attached…
