Both of Louisa's husbands had died suddenly and the Crown, convinced that Louisa poisoned them with arsenic, put her on trial an extraordinary four times in order to get a conviction, to the horror of many in the legal community. Louisa protested her innocence until the end.

Fascinating look into the ideals and ideologies of the Time
Taking place at the turn of the 20th century, this case was a fascinating look into perceptions of virtue and accountability. The narrator gave a steady and weighted feel to to the story with her clear, concise voice and pacing. Excellent job with the somewhat antiquated language and sometimes repetitive narrative she was given. Thoroughly enjoyable listen of a true crime story!
