the ending

kind of a depressing story. But good character development. Interesting topics about childhood neglect and abuse. How it happened for both Colin and Mia at different socio economic levels. Lots of mental health issues.

Great even second listen!

I thought I had listened to this story before but it was a long time ago. The story was enticing this time as well. Character development was excellent and the plot came together and unveiled itself perfectly. Such a great twist at the end!!

Narration was ok sometimes it’s better to not to try to convey a different gender!

Loved the audio book readers. wonderful. loved it. I kind of seen the end but still liked it

Wasted credit

I should’ve listened to the reviews. It’s not that this isn’t a great story it really I , it’s just that I’ve read or listened to it before and I don’t believe this is a new story I’m all for recycling but not audiobooks because this one’s definitely not a new story. Audible don’t do this we readers can spot this. Anyway I can’t return or exchange my credit it’s too late.

Kept me guessing

Great book. Narrator less than expected. Had to really keep up with the before and afters.

Keeps you awake!

The story was engaging, and it kept me wide awake and entertained on a solo road trip. I highly recommend this book.

Great plot twist. wasn't expecting it!

The first couple of chapters were slow to start but then was a hook after that. I wish the end had more on Eve and Gabe.

Second time reading

I love Mary Kubica's style and decided to re read this drama-suspense story again. Good read, good narrator, great author.

It keeps you wondering

I like the way back and forth the book took us. How the characters are build up and how you just so invested on them by the end.
