Incomplete
I blame it on dementia! Ann or the Macmillan editors are. Getting old. Ann Cleves has always been wonderful. This was a great beginning, but so dissatisfying because nothing happened next. It was chapters 1-2. And not 3-13! And then, no return option! Ug. Macmillan audio ripped us off.I will be calling Audible to get my credit back as this didn’t even get me through one commute.

No Way - 30 minute PSA

What is the point?
I love Ann Cleeves, have read and own most of her books. What is this, besides 1.99? Detectives as social workers? The author stating the obvious? We learn nothing new about Matthew or Jen, and the reality, 99 times out of 100, is that Mom will return to her wealthy, powerful husband and be killed or commit suicide, Olivia will wind up in prison or a psych hospital, and Imogen will become a psychiatrist with a dark past. This little story is uninteresting and a huge disappointment.
