A few of my favourite authors and an alluring title, what could possibly go wrong?

In agreement with first reviewer, a classic bait and switch that left me feeling snookered. Gritty noir without the eloquence and finesse of the genre. The few golden nuggets are too far and few in between to justify rummaging through the aisles of this bargain basement of an anthology. The nopiest of nopes.

Most stories opposite of excellent (& publicized) Cleeves & Robinson

Those 2 short stories ( the last one and the one 3rd from last) are great - just what you’re led to expect from the authors Ann Cleeves & Peter Robinson. But most of the others, the vast majority of the book, are gritty, nasty and unpleasant to listen to. Ugh. Classic bait & switch.
