The quest for the seven weapons of Madria comes to its thrilling conclusion.
Few remain to resist the implacable advance of the dark forces unleashed by Diis. In the ice wastes of distant Halvia, Rabigar must locate the spear of the legendary Giants. In the vast expanse of the Lantinen Sea, Soren must search for the lost race of the Asrai.
In Kalinth, Belwynn must hold back the armies of the vengeful Lord of Ishari. As time runs out, she knows she must face her greatest test. Can she confront a god, and win?
The Giants' Spear is the stunning climax to the epic fantasy series, The Weapon Takers Saga.

It has elements of grimdark and "realpolitik" that make it more realistic-feeling than some classic epic fantasy (which might currently be classified as noblebright); for instance, it shows how principle, nobility, and honor might have to be compromised to establish leadership with a better hope of success. This makes it a better story, with lessons (if you're looking for lessons) about morally ambiguous and often frustrating complex decisionmaking in the real world, where different sets of consequences, each affecting the others, might result from a single pinpoint choice. The ending twist is also darker than many popular epics, building on the theme of the moral ambiguity of real life choices. I will not give away the surprise, except to say that it involves the vastly disappointing purposes and failings of gods. And if you're not looking for "morals of the story," it's still a good action-and-adventure yarn.
The dual narration was well done, and each narrator easily distinguished characters' voices, making following dialog easy, and preventing distraction from the main story.
