Great story line

Love watching the characters evolve through the series and watching things tie in from previous books.

The new neighbor really seems to be a grouch, but the familiar characters are written with more qualities and quirks with each book in the series. It’s like learning more about your family and friends each time you meet. I love this series of books AND the narrator Romy Nordlinger. Very happy with purchases!!

A very enjoyable audible book.

As with the previous books in this series, I have enjoyed every one of them. It’s hard to put the books down. The authors words flow beautifully. The woman who narrates this book, makes each character unique when she reads.
I cannot wait for one book to end and for the next book to begin in this series. Try it out!

new paths for Marlow House

This book and series is best enjoyed when read in order.
Danielle and Walt return from a 2 week honeymoon in Hawaii to find their crazy new neighbor Pearl Huckabee has blocked their ability to run a bed and breakfast. Added that she hates animals and is determined to catch Max and take him to animal control in another town. Marie has been caring for Max and has released him from traps 8x.
D&W decide to use Marlow House in some philanthropic way and start with the high school art program fund raiser. Tickets are sold for a week long stay including 2 meals a day. The event is considered a success even with the human bones dropped by a blackbird. Then D&W host a Fourth of July party to raise funds for a new animal control facility. Crazy Pearl is losing her mind with gawkers looking into her garden where the bones of 2 human skeletons were found.
Danielle does her usual conversations and research to find answers, but it’s in business interviews for the historical society that the truth comes out.
We round out the book with Lily & Ian’s baby.
I’m again impressed with the creativity of Holmes’ storylines and the enjoyably straightforward way she is able to write them. Good editing.
Nordlinger is just an ok narrator due to a notable weakness in character differentiation.
