Couldn't Listen

I am a fan of Melissa de la Cruz and was excited to find this on Audible. I started listening, thinking it was going great, then, five minutes in one of the characters dropped the F- bomb. I was shocked. I've read her Blue Bloods series multiple times and I don't remember there being language like that. I assume that if the language is like that a few minutes in, it's only going to continue, or get worse. I didn't finish the book. The only reason I'm writing this review is so others can know about the language. Before I read or listen to a book I look at the reviews to see if there is mention of language or graphic scenes. I thought others would like to know. If you listened to this book and that was the only unfortunate word, please comment. I can skip past and finish what I was hoping to be a great book.

Short but sweet

I wish these audible plus stories lasted longer. This was a very enjoyable, easy listen, sweet story with a punch in your gut delivered later. I wouldve loved to have more backstory and details to make for a longer story. If you have AP then this will be a freebie but I would’ve paid to listen to this story.

made for audible, but not worth it

Too much third-wall breaking for me. Trying too hard to be cute. Not interesting tale; it was a time waster, however brief.

Great Story

I usually never write reviews, but this story was so great! I typically only listen for about 20 minutes a day, but this story had me hooked and in one day; I listened to the whole thing. The writing was great and I enjoyed the performance; the talking at the same time.... just what real couples do when telling a story. I’m going to search out other books by this writer, Melissa de la Cruz. I think she has a real gift of making stories feel like real life (I’m sure the performers added to that portion).

Juvenile storyline

It was all I could do to make myself listen for 30 minutes to see if it got better. Nope, it didn’t. Girl meets boy as told by the girl and boy. Recounting elementary crush, high school hangouts and that’s all I could take. In my opinion, listening to this is a waste of your time.

Just north of Okay

This listen was a cute short story. The big twist wasn’t a big twist to me at all. I enjoyed it but... it was anticlimactic. The narrators were awesome!

really sweet

really sweet short story, it lost a star because the laughing throughout got a bit annoying and seemed too forced.
