Publisher's Summary

In The Fight, Dan Bongino picks up the story where his New York Times best-selling book Life Inside the Bubble ends to tackle current political and security issues and offer new solutions. From Hillary's emails to the security failings at the White House (including the drone crash and the fence jumper); from Charlie Hebdo to Bowe Bergdahl - the author examines how our current administration has allowed our security efforts to lapse both at home and abroad. He also offers solutions to the growing terrorist threat and how we can protect American citizens while also deconstructing what's wrong with our political process and what his experience running for office has taught him.

As a former member of the elite Presidential Protection Division who served three presidents, Bongino is uniquely qualified to provide a view from behind the curtain to warn listeners about the political system that is failing them and the security future that won't protect them. The majority of Americans come into contact with security only when they fly or enter their workplaces. They are rarely able to become acquainted with the politicians they know from robo-calls and TV ads. Bongino has experienced the inner workings of the national security apparatus and the failed political theater that we all feel but rarely understand. Using a mix of current events, an insider's analysis, and tales from his time protecting the president, he shows where clear and foreseeable leadership failures from our current administration led to grave consequences. From a broken political process to a president who consistently misreads the American people, he shows us where America has gone wrong and how we can fight back.

SECRET SERVICE FIGHT

Would you consider the audio edition of The Fight to be better than the print version?

I have not read the book, only listened to the audio version.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dan, the CIA Agent

Have you listened to any of Dan Bongino’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

NO.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Dan has an amazing insight to the Obama administration. He brings items to the table that I had not previously considered.

Any additional comments?

I strongly suggest adding this book to your reading list, it really gives you a side of the Presidency not previously detailed.

Excellent!

Any additional comments?

Dan Bongino paints a vivid picture of the corrupt political machine that is Washington, DC, using vignettes from his life as a Secret Service agent. Each behind the scenes story focuses on a different facet of this complex structure. It is educational, yet entertaining and compelling. Dan offers very specific, detailed advice from his experience on the campaign trail that will be useful to any American, of either party, who wishes to enter "The Fight" against crony capitalism. Dan's narration is superb, and adds a personal, very honest touch to each tale. I highly, highly recommend this book!

Conservative Americans need to hear this.

I think this is a great tutorial in the light of all the shadow govt that we are seeing since the election of Trump. It is just as obvious that we as conservative Americans need to continue to take an even stronger position against this evil. The people of America elected a new President just as sure as Obama was 8 years ago. We have to stop this assault on democracy. This book gives good outlines as to how that can and should be done legally and morally. Thanks for your service to our country and also giving us a very good lesson in the power we didn't even know we had as the little people.

Love Dan!

Very interesting, informative and thought-provoking. I was a bit taken aback by Dan’s extremely calm demeanor in his reading of this book. His podcasts are so animated! The reason for four stars on the Performance rating is because I missed Dan’s effervescence. However, when listening at 1.25x - it gets closer to his “normal” speed :-)

should be required reading in HS and college

He pulls no punches and tells it like it is. This book covers a wide range of topics and goes in-depth instead of skimming over them. Get big America.

The Fight: A Secret Service Agent's Inside Account

What did you love best about The Fight?

Reading "Life Inside the Bubble," following with, "The Fight," by Dan Bongino it is evident Dan Bongino was an Intelligent and capable team player. Dan learned a more resourceful less complicated structure in the Secret Service and political arena to benefit American people. As Bongino politely mentioned, there was a lot of hubris personalities in the White House, and you stay out of the way, so you don't get pummeled. Understanding this gave validation to his conscious decision to leave the White House and run for office.

What did you like best about this story?

The political egotistical pampering the Secret Service has to tolerate.

Which scene was your favorite?

Dan's fight and dedication to God, family and friends and the Republic System.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The Fight: A Secret Service Agent's Inside Account, To Fight For We the People's Account

Any additional comments?

The complete package began with an interview between Dan Bongino and Alex Jones. Together they were charismatic, and so many interesting tidbits came out, I purchased both books, written by Dan Bongino immediately. Dan's personality, the story plot and Dan's performance completed a most enjoyable day.
